On March 14, Steven Jackson signed with Atlanta rather than Green Bay. On March 15, Greg Jennings left the Packers to sign with the rival Vikings. As it turns out, those perhaps were the best days of the offseason for the Packers, other than landing Eddie Lacy in the second round.

With another big workload projected against struggling Bears run D Eddie Lacy is our #1 RB (Week 9 NFL Ranks)

Eddie Lacy at #1 is the highest I’ve had him all season by a wide margin, but, with 25 touches looking like a virtual certainty against a Bears defense that has given up 20+ points to an RB in each of their last four games (!). The floor here is ridiculously low. Alfred Morris outside of RB1 status may seem a bit harsh but San Diego has allowed just one rusher to post more than...

Vikings Greg Jennings gives Aaron Rodgers awkward post game hug

When Greg Jennings made the decision to leave the Packers for the Vikings, he had quite a bit to say about his former QB, future Hall of Famer, Aaron Rodgers . The two teams met up for the first time Sunday night, and following the Vikings loss 44-31, Jennings – who has since back peddled- had some words he wanted to give to Rodgers in an awkward post game hug. - Jennings on his...

Video: Aaron Rodgers, Greg Jennings share awkward post-game hug

Greg Jennings brought superstar Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers in close for a post-game talk and hug that he looks like he wants nothing to do with.

5 things: Packers dominate over Vikings defense

Five things we learned from the Green Bay Packers' 44-31 road win over the Minnesota Vikings in Week 8 of the 2013 regular season: 1. Third downs equaled first downs The Packers' first drive of the game set the tone. Their four third-down conversions in that series was the beginning of what proved to be one of the biggest reasons for Green Bay's victory. The Vikings...

Malice in Minnesota: Packers vs. Vikings

Growing up, my Grandmother always told me that if I was going to talk mess, that I had to be willing to stand behind what I said: good or bad. So at the conclusion of the 44-31 Packers victory, only one thing was on my mind…Greg Jennings must face Aaron Rodgers. So they talked…well it was more like Greg talked and Aaron listened. However, it gave me hope that a possible reconciliation...

Eddie Lacy Running Away With Rookie of the Year

Last season, the NFL Rookie of the Year award was overrun with worthy candidates, leaving voters in quite a difficult quandary when evaluating who was most deserving. With arguably the best quarterback class since 2004, there were three quarterbacks that led their teams to the playoffs and put up impressive numbers -- Andrew Luck, Russell Wilson and Robert Griffin III. There were...

The next few weeks are a job interview for James Starks

Eddie Lacy had 22 more carries than James Starks on Sunday night because Mike McCarthy had a hard time putting his hot hand on ice. I understand why coach Mike McCarthy quickly said he wanted the carries to be closer to equal last week. He doesn’t want to overwork his rookie running back. But, then again, he can’t take Eddie Lacy off the field because it was evident the deeper...

Green Bay Packers scored every time they touched the ball on offense yesterday against Vikings

Aaron Rodgers is playing at an MVP level, even without his top three targets, but Eddie Lacy has provided a pounding running game that can grind out yards. Toss in the return of running back James Starks and the Packers have a very nice mixture of ground and pound. The running game allows the Packers to control the ball and dictate the pace of the game. […]
