Carolina Panthers center Ryan Kalil is claiming that the Panthers will go on, this upcoming season, and win Super Bowl XLVII. 

Kalil called the 178-word open letter, which he placed in the Charlotte Observer, a "war cry to the fans." In it, he predicts that the Panthers season will end in New Orleans, with the Panthers first Super Bowl title in the franchise's 18-year history.

"There's something different going on with the Panthers. There's a different attitude, a sense of urgency, a different mindset that I haven't seen since I've been here," Kalil said. "And the sentiment is widespread. It's not just in the players or the coaches, but the entire organization."

Hopefully Kalil won't choke on his own thoughts and words come February.

  • Rex Ryan has been predicting a Jets superbowl win for a couple of years now. Predictions are basically worthless and he's just setting up the Panther fans for disappointment.
