I was the first to jump on the “drunk kicker” bandwagon win new young punter, Pat McAfee, was fished out of the canal in Broad Ripple. That said, I love that dude. He’s taken his public woes and turned them into a really great public persona.  He’s active with charity and he’s open to all media outlets for fun and often hilarious talks.  In fact, he’s now working with the Indianapolis Star on a weekly program that is excellent. Gotta love him. Thanks, Pat. Obviously, McAfee has gained a certain notoriety after his hit on Denver’s Trindon Holliday in Week 7, and it’s well deserved. Kickers don’t get much love. You only hear their name when they kick game winning field goals or miss heartbreaking end of game field goals.  You certainly don’t hear punters mentioned much nowadays unless you get the rare “coffin corner” kick or precision backspin 2 yard line special. Jim Irsay: To play for Colts you have to want more than 1 Super Bowl
