Even though it’s Tuesday, the Patriots were operating on a Wednesday schedule, given the short week, with Saturday’s game against the Dolphins. The team held a walkthrough inside the Dana Farber Fieldhouse. Colleague Ian Rapoport was on hand for the proceedings. While it was only a walkthrough, it was still a positive sign seeing safety Patrick Chung out there with the regulars. He’s been battling a foot problem for more than a month. Last week, rest was prescribed because of persistant pain. Perhaps there’s been some improvement. Defensive end Eric Moore and offensive lineman Sebastian Vollmer (foot, ankle), meanwhile, were missing. Moore played against Denver in Sunday’s 41-23 win over the Broncos. He was in on that long 28-yard sack of Tim Tebow. Rapoport also says tight end Aaron Hernandez took part wearing his AFC champions T-shirt.

Patriots Release DL Eric Moore

The New England Patriots announced today that DL Eric Moore has been released.

Patriots release injury report: Aaron Hernandez’s absence was not injury-related

The Patriots had a mild surprise at practice earlier today, as TE Aaron Hernandez and RB BenJarvus Green-Ellis both missed the workout in the practice bubble. In particular, Hernandez’s absence was disconcerting after his big day on Sunday. Now, thanks to the injury report, we know Hernandez being out wasn’t related to injury. Oh, and Law Firm has an illness. As for the Dolphins...

Hernandez takes starring turn in win

By Tim BrittonDENVER -- With Deion Branch out with a groin injury, much of the pregame discussion for the Patriots revolved around who would start opposite Wes Welker at wideout. While Chad Ochocinco got that nod, the biggest beneficiary of Branch's absence appeared to be tight end Aaron Hernandez. Hernandez was everywhere in New England's 41-23 win over the Broncos, catching...

For the Gator glory, it’s Hernandez this time

Tight end Aaron Hernandez had a career day with nine catches for 129 yards and a touchdown.

Patriots TE Aaron Hernandez and Law Firm return to practice, Spikes is missing

The Patriots had a good news/bad news situation at today’s shells practice on the Gillette Stadium field. On one hand, they welcomed back two players, but then another key asset was missing. TE Aaron Hernandez, who missed yesterday for non-injury reasons, was back today looking totally normal. That’s a good sign after his big day on Sunday. And so was RB BenJarvus Green-Ellis...

Benjarvus Green-Ellis and Aaron Hernandez missing from today’s Patriots practice

The Patriots returned indoors today for pratice and had some new faces appear among the missing, according to colleague Ian Rapoport who made the trek to the Dana Farber Fieldhouse. Running back BenJarvus Green-Ellis and tight end Aaron Hernandez were new entries into the injury log, joining offensive lineman Sebastian Vollmer. Green-Ellis, who has been battling a toe problem, had...

Aaron Hernandez, BenJarvus Green-Ellis Absent From Practice

FOXBORO, Mass. -- The Patriots were surprisingly missing two of their offensive starters Wednesday at practice, as tight end Aaron Hernandez and running back BenJarvus Green-Ellis did not participate. Hernandez (knee) and Green-Ellis (toe) had been hampered earlier in the season, but it's unclear if either injury caused them to miss Wednesday's session, which was held in...

Brandon Spikes Misses Practice, Aaron Hernandez, BenJarvus Green-Ellis Return

FOXBORO, Mass. -- Linebacker Brandon Spikes was a surprising absentee from the Patriots' practice Thursday on the Gillette Stadium game field. Spikes, who has missed the last six games with a knee injury, had participated in all seven of the team's practices since Dec. 8. The Patriots practiced in sweats and shells, and it was the final non-walkthrough of the week in anticipation...

When will Bill Belichick join Twitter? "Never"

By Brian MacPhersonFOXBORO -- Aaron Hernandez and Wes Welker both have joined the social-networking site Twitter in recent days, becoming the latest in a series of Patriots to do so. When will Bill Belichick sign up? "Never," he said. "You'll never see me on Twitter or MyFace or Yearbook or any of that. ... Before I could join any of those, I'd have to know...

Patriots letting defenses decide to whom Brady is throwing

By Brian MacPhersonFOXBORO -- Earlier this season, it was Wes Welker. As the season has progressed, it has been Rob Gronkowski. On Sunday at Denver, it was Aaron Hernandez. Tom Brady has long said that his favorite receiver is the receiver who is open. Four different receivers have at least 48 catches this season, and all four have caught eight or more passes in a game at least...

Pats cool off Tebow, Denver, 41-23

New England calmly waded into the hotbed of Tebowmania and dispatched of the Broncos, 41-23. Fantasy Spin: Tom Brady was even more devastating than usual from a Fantasy perspective, adding a rushing TD to his 320 yards and 2 TDs passing. Danny Woodhead had a rushing TD on 40 yards, and Ben-Jarvus Green-Ellis only had 17 yards rushing but a TD also. Aaron Hernandez, not Rob Gronkowski...
