PatsPropaganda.com is officially two years old today! While we’ve been blogging about the Pats since December 2007 it wasn’t until April 20, 2010 that, with help from sister Sarah, we launched PatsProp as a place that was all mine for posting all things Pats related. It’s hard to believe how many cool things have happened as a result of this blog. Just to name a few: Winning CSNNE’s 2011 Best Patriots Blog Award Co-hosting an episode of Pete Sheppard’s show with Erik Frenz for Patriots.com. Interviewing Pats players like Matt Light and Sterling Moore, and respected beat writers like Mike Reiss and Greg Bedard. Doing the Pats blogger panel at Blogapalooza. Take a tour of our Hall of Fame for a few more cool nuggets. But really the greatest thing that has come from this blog has been connecting with so many great Patriots fans all around the globe. It’s great to feel part of a global community that all root for one great team, and what a crazy ride it has been even in just the two sho...

Report: Patriots will target Mark Barron if they trade up

According to Pat Curran of CSNNE.com, if the New England Patriots are able to trade up in the first round, they would target Alabama safety Mark Barron. The Patriots need a lot of help in their secondary and if they’re able to bring in a potential premiere safety like Barron to play alongside Patrick Chung, it would upgrade their defense over night. We can never rule out Bill...

Patriots open to trading Brian Hoyer or Ryan Mallett

According to Ian Rapoport of NFL.com, New England Patriots personnel guru Nick Caserio has indicated that they’re willing to listen to offers for both  Brian Hoyer and Ryan Mallett, who’ve been sitting behind starting quarterback Tom Brady. “If those calls come then we’ll listen,” said Caserio. The Patriots have seemed to have done a nice job of developing Hoyer as Brady’s...

Source: Brian Waters Not Attending Patriots' Workouts, Absence Has Nothing to Do With Retirement Decision

FOXBORO, Mass. -- Patriots right guard Brian Waters has one year remaining on his contract, but he hasn't publicly announced whether or not he'll return or retire. However, Waters has not been at Gillette Stadium this week for voluntary workouts, according to a source. With that, though, the source said it has nothing to do with his decision on his football future. Waters...

Best. Sports. Headline. Ever. ‘Patriots Beat Cocks’ (pic)

There is not really much that needs to be added to that brilliant headline to interject humor, other than I’m just relieved the story wasn’t about a slumber party at Tom Brady’s house that went horribly, horribly awry as it entered dreadfully inappropriate territory. But seriously, is it possible that no one at The Patriot [...]

Are the New England Patriots now the AFC favorite to reach the Super Bowl in 2012?

The NFL unveiled their 2012 schedule this week and statistically speaking, the New England Patriots have the easiest schedule based on teams they face off against in 2012. How did this happen and are the New England Patriots now the favorites for the 2013 Super Bowl? It is easy to look at a schedule formulated in April and try to predict wins and losses, but as the regular season...

New England Patriots kicking tires on some veteran running backs

The New England Patriots, never a team to shy away from a veteran player are reportedly kicking the tires on a couple of veteran running backs. According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, the Patriots are visiting with veteran backs Tim Hightower as well as Ryan Grant. This comes as little surprise to me as the Patriots always pick an aging veteran from the later round of free agency and...

Report: Patriots' Light to retire

Longtime New England Patriots left tackle Matt Light reportedly is set to retire.

Patriot interests: Redskins shopping WR Jabar Gaffney

Talk about getting no respect. Jabar Gaffney is the ever reliable receiver who seems to get kicked around like an old pair of shoes. The former University of Florida star is reportedly on the trading block and he could present some value to the New England Patriots. The Patriots chose not to re-sign the good route runner and hasn't been able to find his replacement since his...
