PLAYERS: Peyton Manning
The  Bronco’s are rewarding many veteran players this week. The reward? Rest. QB Peyton Manning will be one of those players. The 37-year-old Manning’s among about a dozen veteran players who won’t participate in bye week practices Tuesday and Wednesday. “He’s not going to get a whole lot of reps the next two days, I’ll tell you that,” Fox said, via Mike Klis of the Denver Post-ProFootballTalk.com I have a feeling Manning won’t be doing much resting even though he isn’t practicing. He will be watching film and getting ready to face San Diego. I’m sure he will be more prepared for the Chargers come November 10th than his coaches. Need NFL Tickets? Loading... Peyton Manning is beginning to slip up

Five weeks into the 2013 NFL season, Denver Broncos quarterback Peyton Manning was so hot and so dominant that we were ready to crown him as the 2013 MVP and maybe even elect him to congress at the same time. Manning looked unstoppable.  But Manning's play has started to come back to earth the last few weeks. Here's a comparison: As a result, Manning is no longer...

Knowshon Moreno has been amazing this year, leads NFL in rushing TD’s

Knowshon Moreno was one of the most hated Broncos players last year, before Peyton Manning arrived in town. Now he is known as one of the top fantasy backs in the NFL. The Denver Broncos running back put up 133 all-purpose yards and scored a touchdown in the Week 8 win over the Washington Redskins. […]

Peyton Manning Called for Rare Holding Penalty After Fumble During Win Over Redskins (GIFs)

Peyton Manning didn’t know he couldn’t do that. With his Broncos stuck in the mud early in the third quarter on Sunday, locked up at 7-7 against the underdog Redskins, Manning was stripped in the backfield by Ryan Kerrigan. As the ball bounced toward the sideline, both Manning and Washington linebacker Brian Orakpo gave chase. It quickly became clear that the quarterback ...

Defense rescues Denver in 45-21 win over Redskins

In an unexpected twist, Peyton Manning was the one who needed some bailing out. On a day when the Denver Broncos quarterback threw three interceptions and lost a fumble, Von Miller and the defense stepped up in a 45-21 win over the Washington Redskins on Sunday. The much-maligned defensive unit - last in the league against the pass - harassed Robert Griffin III all afternoon. The...

Offensive Player Of The Year: Peyton Manning or Calvin Johnson?

Peyton Manning:Since starting out the 2013 season, Peyton Manning has been sensational, throwing seven touchdowns with no interceptions in the Denver Broncos' season opener against the Baltimore Ravens, tying the record for the most passing touchdowns in one game, and being only the second quarterback to throw seven touchdowns with no interceptions.vs Baltimore Ravens(49-27)...

Denver Broncos had fun today at practice swapping jerseys

Today when the Broncos took the practice field #18 looked big like he had been lifting weights. Well cone to find out, it wasn’t Peyton Manning but Jacob Tamme instead. “I was looking for 84 but he wasn’t out there,” Tamme laughed when asked who he was looking to throw to. “It was fun. Some […]

Marvin Jones is the AFC offensive player of the week

Reblogged from ProFootballTalk: Take a seat, Peyton Manning.  Cool your jets, Jamaal Charles.  Slam your hand in a door, Tom Brady.  (Wait, he already did.) In a conference containing some of the best offensive players of the past generation, a second-year receiver has claimed the honors for AFC offensive player of the week for Week Eight of the 2013 season. Marvin Jones earned...

Kevin Durant Says Aaron Rodgers Is The Best QB In The NFL

The timing of this statement is funny because Peyton Manning shredded Durant’s Redskins into pieces. Aaron Rodgers still the best QB in the league — Kevin Durant (@KDTrey5) October 28, 2013 I’m sure Durant was hearing all this noise about Manning, so he decided to take this route. Broncos OT Orlando Franklin a "tough guy" in return from injury

In a mild surprise, given the extent of the left leg injuries he suffered two weeks ago, Orlando Franklin was the Broncos' starting right offensive tackle Sunday. "It tells you we've got some tough guys on this team," Broncos quarterback Peyton Manning said. And Manning is one of them. He suffered an ankle injury two games ago while getting hit in the end zone...

Washington Redskins at Denver Broncos: Five Things We Learned

For 45 minutes, the Washington Redskins (2-5) played nearly a flawless game at Mile High against the Denver Broncos (7-1) in Mike Shanahan's return to Denver. Leading 21-7 late into the third quarter, the 'Skins were doing just enough offensively, and defensively to slow down the high octane attack of Peyton Manning and Co.38 unanswered points (31 in 4th quarter) later,...

FOX Sports NFL Game of the Week Review: Redskins at Broncos

It's fun when games can be summed up in one play or a series of plays. This is why highlights are so successful. In Sunday's game between the Washington Redskins and Denver Broncos, the series of plays that could sum up the game happened in the fourth quarter. With about eight minutes left in the game, Denver quarterback Peyton Manning threw an interception that was intended...
