Eagles QB Mike Vick(photo credit The Patriot News) We all know the Philadelphia Eagles have struggled the last few seasons. In 2009, the Eagles were not sure who would be their starting quarterback. The Eagles signed Michael Vick in the offseason but named Kevin Kolb their starter. Then in the 2010 season, the Eagles were nicknamed the dream team but fell well short of the Super Bowl, losing to the Green Bay Packers in the Wild Card round of the playoffs. However, the Eagles showed growth and would promise an outstanding team the next year. But in 2011, it happened. The offensive line didn’t stand up and since Vick was trying to be more of a pocket quarterback, he would be thrown around and sacked a lot. In 2012 it was worse, the offensive line allowed Vick to suffer concussions and the banged-up QB even had to sport an eye patch. I’ve never heard of a player having to wear an eye patch, let alone a quarterback who is supposed to be protected. And someone had to go down for these major problems that worsened with time. It was either the quarterback, Michael Vick, or head coach, Andy Reid. Currently, Reid is rebuilding the Chiefs, so we know how that situation went. The Philadelphia Eagles were given a new life by former Oregon Ducks head coach, Chip Kelly. Oregon’s fast paced offensive schemes match perfectly with the Philadelphia Eagles’ talented offense. The Washington Redskins game unveiled what football fans have been waiting to see since word got around that Kelly was going to be the new head coach. The Eagles were elusive and unstoppable. They were a force to be reckoned with and it seems that this force is an overwhelming one that will be extremely hard for defensive coordinators to stop. For those who will play Michael Vick and the Eagles this season, the week before the game will be a long one. As a matter of fact, Vick said it best about the Philadelphia Eagles’  up coming season. “This is going to be a long season.”

Philadelphia Eagles: Vick and offense flourish under Chip Kelly

Chip Kelly and the Philadelphia Eagles put a damper on Robert Griffin’s return to FedEx Field on Monday Night. Although a late fourth quarter surge from the Skins had Philly fans on their toes, the Eagles fast-paced offense ultimately earned them the victory Up and down start for Eagles This first play of the game was a six yard completion from Michael Vick to Riley Cooper, which...

Michael Vick has new website for souped-up cars

Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Michael Vick's new website,, is basically a place for he and his teammates to show off their amazing cars.

New Coach lifts wading QB, Eagles

Chip Kelly may be onto something. The Eagles offense ran 53 plays in the first half of Monday night’s inner-division contest against the Redskins, leaving the burgundy and gold defenders confused and frequently gasping for air. Michael Vick hasn’t looked more composed since his scintillating 2010 MVP-caliber campaign, and LeSean McCoy displayed the lightning quickness of his...

Chip Kelly’s offense may hurt the Eagles Super Bowl chances

As a never give up (I don’t use “die-hard” because it’s a notion of giving up at some point) Washington Redskins fan, it was painful to watch Monday Night Football’s opening game. Michael Vick, LeSean McCoy and the Philadelphia Eagles stunned the ‘Skins and, I would say, most people with their brutal high-tempo play, right out of the gate. It seemed they were running...

Michael Vick is too valuable to run Chip Kelly's offense

As exciting as Chip Kelly’s offense in Philadelphia may be, it may already be on its way out. The reason? Michael Vick, the player the offense absolutely cannot function without, is taking way too many hits already, and it seems unlikely he’ll last an entire season. “We saw Vick limping around. Vick's not gonna last,” former general manager Charley Casserly said Tuesday...

Eagles' Michael Vick Will Not Last Says Charley Casserly

Charley Casserly has questioned whether Michael Vick will be able to last all 16 games operating in Chip Kelly's offence. Casserly said on NFL Networks "Around the League" that:"We saw Vick limping around. Vick's not going to last."In the debut of Chip Kelly's offensive scheme, the offence played at a frantic pace. In the first half they racked up...

Five Keys For An Eagles Win on Sunday Against the Chargers

I didn’t think that the Eagles would enter week two the way they did. This isn’t to say that I’m complaining or anything, but I’m trying to keep a level-head after an impressive Week One performance. Looking ahead to Sunday, they face a Chargers team who has a bad taste in their mouth after a Monday night meltdown against the Texans. They’ll be looking for redemption...

Week 2 QB Ride ‘Em or Hide ‘Em

Juan’s In the Pistol With RG3 @ GB In the first half of MNF RG3 looked like he wasn’t ready for primetime.  In the second half he knocked the rust off and tore up the Eagles secondary.  Green Bay will cause a shootout and RG3 will go off. Ride ‘Em Mike Vick vs SD Vick is a perfect matchup for the ridiculous speed, no ludicrous speed Chip Kelly express offense.  Take advantage...

Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie’s Ride Is Something

Thanks to SB Nation, we learned that Michael Vick has a website,, that allows you to upload an image of your ride, just so Michael Vick can inspect it and nod approvingly. The Internet’s purpose at long last fulfilled.A couple current and former teammates with Vick on the Eagles – including Jason Babin, Jeremy Maclin and Trent Cole – have uploaded pics of their...

Sunday Prview: 5 Keys To Beating The Chargers

Fantasy Football Week 2: Studs, Duds and Sleepers

With one week behind us it’s now time to owners to turn the page to Week 2. Some are trying to start the year with a second straight win and keep the mojo moving in a positive direction.  Others are not as fortunate. Owners that dropped their first game of the year must avoid starting a dreadful 0-2. Whether you won or lost last week, this week is even more important. With that...

Cam Newton Says You Don’t Throw Party Just Because You’re Black QB

Technically, Cam said you don’t throw a Bar Mitzvah just because you are a Black Quarterback (you can listen to full clip here).  Cam echoed my sentiments in my column while the phrase“Black Quarterback” should be eliminated from the media. While being asked about the subject he brought up two important points. 1- He’s grateful for the ones who came before him because now...

The Matchups: Chargers v. The Birds

Happy Saturday! It is almost game time. This week, the Chargers of San Diego roll into town. Again, in the interest of total transparency, I must admit that I don’t know much about the Chargers. Before you grab the tar and feathers, hear me out. For as good as San Diego has been, they reside on the West Coast. As a Yankee, I never really followed those West Coast teams...

Have The Eagles Emerged As The Favorite In The NFC East?

It has become only natural for everyone to overreact after Week 1 of the National Football League (NFL) season. For the fans of winning teams, it marks the beginning of their team's quest for a Super Bowl title. For the fans of losing teams, it means the sky is falling down and it's time to push the panic button. Regardless of which end of the spectrum the fans are on, it...
