We’ve hit the quarter post of Fantasy Football season. Hopefully your team isn’t out of the mix already with a winless record, but there is still time to make things right. If you have been successful, you probably have found a pleasant surprise in one of your players.
This week there are some attractive pickups, but nothing that seems to be game changing. Because of that we’re going to take a look at some of the pleasant surprises thus far. I’m sure you know who they are.
Hit the jump to check them out…
5.) Reggie Bush – RB – Detroit Lion
463 all-purpose yards, 2 TDs
I think we all knew Reggie Bush was good and the potential was there so this isn’t such a huge surprise. Still – the guy is a PPR beast and if he hadn’t missed a game already he’d be a Top 10 commodity, which I don’t think anyone expected.
4.) Julius Thomas – TE – Denver Broncos
237 yards, 4 TDs
This one is my favorite because as I mentioned before my direct quote was “who the f is this guy” when he was drafted

After an 8-7 week my season record stands at 33-30, not quite where I want to be.
Buffalo @ Cleveland - The Browns are riding high after two straight wins against better teams than Buffalo. Browns make it 3 straight.
New Orleans @ Chicago - The Saints go marching into soldier field and come away with the victory.
New England @ Cincinnati - Brady's luck runs...
Tony Romo sounded scared when he talked to the media about the Broncos secondary. While guys like Rahim Moore are quite the mean hitter, Romo shouldn’t have said what he did in my opinion. “They grab, they hold, they’ve almost put a lot of pressure on the refs – whether or not they’re going to […]
If you have bet against Peyton Manning and the Denver Broncos so far in the 2013 NFL Season, shame on you, you should have known better. The Broncos are easily covering the spread against opponents week in and week out.
This week the Broncos travel to face Tony Romo and the Dallas Cowboys and are favorite by nine points. Will the Denver Broncos continue to cover the spread?
We’re entering just the fifth week of the fantasy football season, and I am already convinced that Peyton Manning has fully evolved into a demi-god. The Broncos’ QB is having one of the most impressive statistical stretches of any quarterback in recent memory, as he heads into his week five matchup against Dallas with 1,470 passing yards, 16 touchdowns, and a 75 % completion...
Champ Bailey is torn between gratitude and regret as he watches the Denver Broncos steamrolling opponents without him.
The perennial Pro Bowl cornerback missed all of September after injuring his left foot in the second week of the preseason.
As the first snow of the season blasted the Denver area on Friday, Bailey still wasn't able to do everything at practice and was listed...
Denver Broncos defensive coordinator Jack Del Rio is on a short list for the USC job which happens to be his alma mater, however, reports out of Denver indicate that Del Rio would not leave the team during the season to become the coach for USC.
The Broncos' injury report Friday comprised mostly players who practiced in full and are designated as probable for Sunday's game. The only two players limited in practice were cornerback Champ Bailey (foot) and linebacker Paris Lenon (thigh).
Bailey spoke to the media Thursday and remained cautious in his expectation of playing Sunday at Dallas. Coach John Fox elaborated...
1. Rams D/Sp. Teams- I got some good news and I got some bad news Rams fans. Bad news is that the Rams are 0-4 and have looked lost and overwhelmed defensively in every contest thus far, while giving up a whopping 388 yards per contest. The good news is that they are facing a […]
Denver Broncos’ quarterback Peyton Manning was named AFC Offensive Player of the Month for September. This is the seventh time Manning has won this award, setting a new NFL record. There are six players in NFL history who have earned Player of the Month awards six times. They are Barry Sanders, Bruce Smith, Tom Brady, Brett […]
Lindsey Jones of USA TODAY Sports doesn’t believe Broncos cornerback Champ Bailey will play in this Sunday’s matchup with the Cowboys.
My guess — Danny Trevathan plays vs. Dallas, and Champ Bailey doesn't. Bailey likely to be listed as questionable. Inj report in an hour.

The good news is that the Broncos are 4-0 without...
Denver Broncos weakside linebacker Danny Trevathan was carted off the field with a knee injury at practice Wednesday. There was no immediate word on the severity.
Teammates said Trevathan was hurt toward the end of the workout.
Coach John Fox only mentioned the second-year linebacker in passing when rattling off injuries after practice, saying Trevathan was ''limited, knee...
According to Jay Glazer of FOX Sports, Denver Broncos LB Danny Trevathan was carted off during practice with a knee injury. Trevathan became a starter in his second NFL season after being selected in the sixth-round of the 2012 NFL Draft.
(Eds: Adds details, quotes. With AP Photos.) By ARNIE STAPLETON AP Pro Football Writer Spurning Tom Brady for Peyton Manning had nothing to do with the cash, the catches or the cachet.
Wes Welker just wanted to play in Denver's star-studded offense and continue his quest for a Super Bowl ring in the Rockies.
So, he traded Picasso for Michelangelo. Or maybe it was the other...
Broncos -7 at Cowboys
Did anyone expect another team to be at the top of this list? Through four weeks Denver has looked absolutely unstoppable. They are averaging 44 points a game and beating teams by an average of 22 points. Peyton Manning has 16 touchdowns and zero interceptions, while making Demaryius Thomas and Wes Welker both top 4 fantasy wide receivers. Eric Decker is in...
The NFL has announced its players of the month and one honoree comes as no surprise.
Denver Broncos quarterback Peyton Manning is the AFC's player of September after torching opponents with 16 touchdowns. Manning hasn't thrown a pick in four games and he hasn't appeared mortal either.
We examined the records he's broken and asked on the "Around The League Podcast...
