Oakland Raiders wide receiver Darius Heyward-Bey was carted off the field after a helmet to helmet hit with Pittsburgh Steelers safety Ryan Mundy. http://www.nfl.com/videos/auto/0ap2000000064798/Heyward-Bey-carted-off-field Mundy was not penalized for the hit. Heyward-Bey was running across the end zone when Mundy threw himself towards Heyward-Bey and hit him right in the facemask. Heyward-Bey's neck jerked violently and his head slammed into the O.co Coliseum turf. Heyward-Bey's eyes were closed for about 10 minutes as Raiders trainers attended to him. He was then placed on a stretcher with his head strapped down. He raised his hand as we was being carted away. Heyward-Bey is currently in the hospital. No word on his condition at this time.
