The Baltimore Ravens have begun the agonizing process of
getting their roster down to 53 birds before the Saturday 6 p.m. deadline. Personnel from all 32 teams stress over this tough
process. However, in some cases, the
game makes the decision.
Wilson of the Baltimore Sun reports that the Baltimore Ravens have placed linebacker,
D.J. Bryant, on season-ending injured reserve.
Bryant suffered a torn anterior cruciate ligament in his left knee in
the Ravens’ preseason finale.
Though Bryant was a long shot to make the team, he was a
hometown boy who loved playing for the Ravens.
Bryant is Baltimore tough and I wish him the best in his recovery and
return to the NFL.
In other roster moves, the blackbirds said Ba-Bye to cornerback
Marc Anthony (not the singer) LB Nigel Carr, running back Delone Carter, LB
Brandon Copeland, offensive tackles Jordan Devey and Rogers Gaines.
The Ravens cut quarterback, Dayne Crist, and told him “next
time don’t forget the gravy.”
The Ravens told tight end Alex Silvestro, and center Reggie
Stephens to “lay a patch.”
The Ravens also ripped up the contract of QB, Caleb Hanie, and
politely informed him to go “agitate the gravel.”
