Oakland Raiders RB Rashad Jennings wasn't in the mood talking about his first 100-yard game since 2010 due to the result, an embarrassing loss to the Philadelphia Eagles. Jennings came in for an injured Darren McFadden in the second quarter and finished with 102 yards on 15 carries. He will likely be the lead back against the Giants as McFadden missed his second day of practice with a hamstring strain.

Pryor (again) Proving His Leadership

Terrelle Pryor has been this season’s pleasant surprise in the NFL. Ascending from third-string QB and a possible roster cut to the team’s starting quarterback, Pryor has continuously been shaping himself into a franchise quarterback for the Raiders. I have made mentions before of Pryor being a possible franchise quarterback, but honestly, it’s not really too hard to see that...

My Two Cents: Will The Oakland Raiders Bite The Big Apple?

What up RaiderNation? Welcome to this week’s edition of My Two Cents, with your favorite senior citizen Raider fan, Old Timer. This week the Raiders travel to New York to take on the Giants. As we all know, the Raiders have not been overly successful when traveling to the east coast for a day game so how will they fare […]

DE Jason Pierre-Paul says Raiders' offense better bring their ‘A’ game

New York Giants DE Jason Pierre-Paul said Wednesday it is time for him to "just go out there and handle my business," but not before saying he plans to do going to do against the Raiders offense.

In-Depth Preview, part 1: Raiders Defense vs. Giants Offense

The Oakland Raiders (3-5) fell completely on their faces last week, both figuratively and literally in DJ Hayden’s case, against the high-powered Philadelphia offense. The Raiders focused most of their efforts on containing the Eagles’ run game, challenging Nick Foles and the passing offense to beat them…which obviously didn’t work the way that they intended. Instead of setting...

Are the Raiders in “QB Purgatory?"

Few expected much of the Raiders this season - only 2 returning starters on defense, a patchwork offensive line after pre-season injuries, and a murky quarterback situation where none of their 4 options stood out as the obvious starter. But what could have easily been a painfully dismal start to Oakland’s 2013 campaign has in reality been respectable (and at times, downright exciting...

Darren McFadden, D.J. Hayden ruled out

The Oakland Raiders have ruled out six players for Sunday’s game against the Giants.  Two of those players are Darren McFadden and D.J. Hayden. Coach Dennis Allen announced that running back Darren McFadden, cornerback D.J. Hayden, safety Tyvon Branch, tackle Tony Pashos, wide receiver Juron Criner and tackle Matt McCants have all been ruled out because of injuries. Running...

Naya Rivera Conquers Rolling Stone

Mychal Rivera’s sister is at it again.  I can think the Oakland Raiders rookie tight end for introducing me to his sister after he scored his first NFL TD.   We’ve seen Naya Rivera heating up Maxim, we’ve seen her half naked in FHM, we’ve seen her celebrating her brothers first TD in a crop top and hopefully nobody has seen her on Glee and now Naya Rivera makes Rolling...

D.J. Hayden misses practice with a groin injury

Oakland Raiders cornerback D.J. Hayden missed Thursday’s practice after suffering a strained groin on Wednesdays. “He was able to finish practice [Wednesday],” Raiders coach Dennis Allen said. “I wasn’t really aware of it until after I got done in here with you guys, but he wasn’t able to go today, so we’ll have to evaluate him to see how he’s doing and see how quickly...

Rashad Jennings leads week 10's fantasy football waiver wire pick ups

Here are top 5 Fantasy Football pick ups for Week 10 Rashad Jennings – Oakland Raiders - With Darren McFadden likely out this week one player you might want to pick up is his replacement Rashad Jennings. Jennings was very solid filling in for McFadden last week. The backup running back was dynamite for Oakland in […]

McFadden, Hayden among six Raiders ruled out

The Raiders’ flight to the East Coast will be lighter than normal. Several key players won’t be making the trip after being ruled out of Sunday morning’s game against the New York Giants. As a matter of fact, Raiders coach Dennis Allen’s decision on who to keep active as never been easier. He rules seven players inactive before kickoff, and a cool half dozen are list as...

Oakland Raiders: 2013 Week 10 NFL Power Rankings (#29)

Last week: 29 (+0) Record: 3-5 The wheels kind of fell off of this scrappy Raider team’s season last week as they allowed an NFL record tying 7 passing touchdowns to Nick Foles in a 49-20 loss. They are moving the chains at a mere 68% rate, as opposed to 74% for their opponents and defenses seem to have figured out Terrelle Pryor, who figures to be without Darren McFadden for the...

Oakland Raiders at New York Giants: 2013 Week 10 NFL Pick

Oakland Raiders (3-5) at New York Giants (2-6) One of the most powerful trends in betting is known as the six and six trend, meaning teams who finish with 6 wins or fewer are 25-69 ATS as favorites of 6 or more since 2002. There are two issues with this trend. One, it’s very rare (it only happened 7 times all last season, going 2-5 ATS). Two, it’s even rarer that a situation...

Terrelle Pryor on Jonathan Martin: “Hats off to him for standing up and being a man”

In light of the Dolphins’ saga with Richie Incognito and Jonathan Martin,  Oakland Raiders quarterback Terrelle Pryor was asked whether the coaches or players are responsible for keeping the hazing in check in a locker room environment. “It’s funny that you said that because we were just on the field and coach [offensive coordinator Greg] Olson was talking to me, Tyler Wilson and Matt...

Flashback Friday: Giants Over Raiders

Beating up on the Oakland Raiders has special significance to the Giants, and especially head coach Tom Coughlin. It was against the men in black that the GMen clinched their first playoff appearance of his tenure as team leader. Remember all the way back in December of 2005? I kind of vaguely remember where I was on the New Years Eve. It was actually a hotel lobby in Atlanta...

Raiders' Terrelle Pryor heavily into being a leader

The question was put to Terrelle Pryor by a student at Iron Horse Middle School in San Ramon in late March during a Raiders community visit. Why had the two-sport recruit selected football over basketball out of high school? The answer had nothing to do with the thrill of a touchdown pass as compared to a dunk. "There's just something about having 10 guys looking at you...
