This week, Philly Sports Muse takes a look at the offseason moves by the Eagles that will contribute to an improved defense in the 2012. So far, the importance of the acquistions of secondary coach Todd Bowles and LB DeMeco Ryans have been discussed. The team also looked to shore up the defense by having one of the best drafts in recent memory. The Eagles first three picks were of defensive players, indicating the recognized need for help on that side of the ball. Philadelphia moved up 3 spots to get  1st-round pick DT Fletcher Cox, selected 12th overall; LB Mychal Kendricks in the 2nd (46th overall); and  DE Vinny Curry, also taken in the second round (59th).  In addition, the team nabbed CB Brandon Boykin in the 4th (123rd overall).
