According to Chris Chase of USA Today, Washington Redskins owner Dan Snyder is the subject of a 4,500-word profile in the new issue of ESPN The Magazine. The most interesting part is what Snyder used to do in the owners box after losses.
“After losses, Snyder would stay until 4 a.m., pounding drinks, downing burgers and pizza and blaming himself for being, in the words of a friend, “his own worst enemy,” wrote Seth Wickersham.
Snyder must have done some real damage to himself, since the Redskins haven’t won that much since he took over as the owner.
Now I understand why he used to throw loads of money at free agents. He was clearly trying to break his habit.

Washington Redskins owner has been through his share of downs during his tenure, most due to his mishaps as owner of the proud franchise. If this particular excerpt from an interview he did is true, I am beyond shock that Snyder never ended up on an episode of the biggest loser. Washington Redskins head coach Mike Shanahan told the media today that he believes rookie running back Alfred Morris has a “big-time future” in the NFL.
Yes, Shanahan likens Morris to another RB he’s coached. Won’t say who (wink, wink). Adds of Morris: “I think he’s got a big-time future.”

Washington Redskins wide receiver Aldrick Robinson is a promising, budding star in Mike Shanahan's offense. So after the freakish end zone crash he had during warm-ups last week with safety Brandon Meriweather, fans and coaches alike became understandably concerned with the receiver's well-being.On Friday, five days after the collision, Robinison had some comforting, and insightful...
Billy Cundiff knew his job was on the line. At least he had a sense of humor about it.
In a year in which NFL kickers have been making field goals with record accuracy, Cundiff missed three in a tight game. He knew he would get one more chance as he watched Robert Griffin III drive the Washington Redskins down the field, trailing by one.
''I was joking with a guy on the...
With every performance, Washington Redskins quarterback Robert Griffin III is proving worth the mega-hype he has been receiving. However, even though he's on pace to become the first NFL quarterback to run for 1,000 yards, Griffin isn't Washington's top rusher or even its No. 1 rookie on the ground. Those distinctions belong to running back Alfred Morris, the 173rd...

The Redskins will host the Falcons at 1:00 PM on Sunday and look to hand Atlanta their first loss on the season. Redskins Nation knows that the key match-up of this game is going to be Matt Ryan and the explosive Falcon offense vs. the Redskins defense, and in particular the secondary.
There is little doubt that Atlanta is going to put points on the board so more than likely,...
