Reggie Bush has seen enough of David Garrard, Matt Moore, and Ryan Tannehill, and he thinks the rookie should be third on the depth chart. David Garrard has been impressive and Matt Moore who could be a major obstacle for Tannehill to hurdle past.

Tannehill was the quarterback with the most upside in the 2012 draft, but was also the one who needed the most work. The Dolphin drafted Tannehill in hopes he would be the quarterback of the future, it looks like he sure isn’t the quarterback of right now.

It’s the old method that Aaron Rodgers, Phillip Rivers, and to go way back, Steve Young went through. Playing quarterback in the NFL is probably the hardest position to learn, the speed of the game and the rapid decision making puts a strain on young QB’s minds.

Athletic guys who have great physical attributes like Cam Newton can improvise until they mature into pocket passers. However, QB’s like Tannehill sometime benefit from watching and observing.

Bush told the Miami Herald that he thinks Tannehill is the third quarterback on the depth chart, and that’s where he should be.

When asked if Tannehill should be the number three signal caller, Bush replied:

“I would probably agree with you on that.”
