Getty Images According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter via ArrowheadPride.com, the Kansas City Chiefs and first round pick Dontari Poe are “not close” to getting a deal done. “Chiefs and Dontari Poe, the 11th overall pick, right now are not close,” said Schefter, via ArrowheadPride.com.  ”The next 24 hours are said to be critical to getting a deal done and typically both sides will be motivated to get that deal done and to get Poe into camp. But right now as it stands Poe and the Chiefs are not close.” Poe and Chiefs should be able to finalize something fairly soon even though things aren’t close, according to Schefter. Just the other day both Trent Richardson and Brandon Weeden weren’t close to getting their contract done.  Then two days later they were signed.

The Chiefs have signed first-round pick Dontari Poe on the eve of training camp. The team announced the deal in statement Thursday. Nobody has seemed overly concerned that the negotiations dragged out until the start of training camp...

Chiefs are not close to signing Dontari Poe

With the number of unsigned first-rounders dwindling, the remainders are becoming more conspicuous. One of the unsigned players is the inherently conspicuous Dontari Poe, a six-foot, three-inch, 346-pound behemoth who was picked by the Chiefs with the 11th selection in the draft. On Tuesday afternoon, ESPN’s Adam Schefter reported (via ArrowheadPride.com) that the Chiefs and Poe [...]

My Dinner with Adam Schefter

Last night I had the pleasure of having dinner with ESPN’s Adam Schefter in New York City. It was quite the experience for me as a blogger and football fan. Adam Schefter the person was just as impressive as Adam Schefter the reporter. There were many stories that were exchanged over the evening most off the record and there was the occasional argument over different player...

Center of Defense in the Fold

In a move not too surprising before training camp begins on Friday, the Kansas City Chiefs came to terms with their first round pick, Dontari Poe.

Cardinals Still Unsure If Kevin Kolb Will Be Their Starting QB This Year

ESPN’s Adam Schefter writes that the Arizona Cardinals still have no idea if Kevin Kolb or John Skelton will end up being their starting quarterback this season. Schefter seems to think that Kolb has the better chance, which really isn’t all that surprising when you consider how much the Cardinals are paying him this year. The fact that Kolb seems to be unable to separate himself...

Sanchez then replied to the reporter by saying, ”I’m Mark.” It looks like Tebow is already starting to overshadow...

Getty Images According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, Atlanta Falcons linebacker Lofa Tatupu will miss the entire 2012 season with a torn pectoral muscle.  The injury was sustained while working out last week.
