Ian Rapoport reports that former Ravens ILB Jameel McClain will visit with the Bills on Wednesday. Rapoport adds that McClain has more visits scheduled as well. Ravens GM Ozzie Newsome didn’t close the door on McClain returning to Baltimore at some point, but it seems more likely that McClain will sign elsewhere. McClain, 28, was released for cap relief as the team was working on extensions for TE Dennis Pitta and LT Eugene Monroe. Last year, he totaled 52 tackles and a forced fumble over the course of 10 games. Pro Football Focus had him rated as the No. 34 inside linebacker in the league last season. Top 10 guards and centers in the NFL Draft

I think it’s safe to speak on every Ravens behalf when I say that we all miss Matt Birk. A great deal in fact. Having a top-notch center is crucial and many times overlooked by fans. We went from a skilled veteran in Matt Birk to raw rookie Gino Gradkowski. No knock on the young guy but let’s get real. Some like taking another, higher-rated, prospect center out of the draft....

It’s tough to really try to differentiate as to who the best guard/center the Ravens have ever drafted truly is. We will bend the rules a bit and give you two.   Ben Grubbs The 29th pick out of the 2007 draft was a big success when he was drafted out of Auburn. Grubbs was a big playmaker coming out of college with great technique and a great work ethic. Grubbs played for the Ravens...

On the Clock: Baltimore Ravens

The Baltimore Ravens will have a chance to select seventeenth at the upcoming NFL draft, since losing to the Dallas Cowboys for sixteenth in a coin toss.  The Ravens need to improve their offensive line, which ranked low (29th) this past season.  The O-line played inadequately, allowing quarterback Joe Flacco to get sacked 48 times.  What the team should also look at in this years...

No Ravens Franchise Tag for Eugene Monroe

Eugene Monroe doesn't want to hear this---  but he's not worth franchise tag money as an NFL offensive tackle. Don't get me wrong--- Monroe is serviceable at left tackle for the Ravens. But he's still about one level below the current masters of the position, guys like Joe Thomas of the Browns and Jason Peters of the Eagles. Those are guys who don't...
