According to the New York Post, the Giants haven’t ruled out re-signing running back Brandon Jacobs. This does not mean Jacobs — who spent a wasted 2012 season with the 49ers — is on his way back to the team that drafted him in 2005. There have not been any formal discussions between the Giants and Jacobs and at this point he remains a not-very-hot commodity on the open market as the leftover players in free agency try to find teams to employ them. “He’d love to return to New York, obviously,’’ the source said. With Ahmad Bradshaw now gone, bringing Jacobs back may not be a back idea for the Giants.  But he’ll have to be OK with sitting behind both Andre Brown and David Wilson.   Need NFL Tickets? var _CI = _CI || {}; (function() { var script = document.createElement('script'); ref = document.getElementsByTagName('script')[0]; _CI.counter = (_CI.counter) ? _CI.counter + 1 : 1; document.write(''); script.type = 'text/javascript'; var _CI = _CI || {}; (function() { var script = document.createElement('script'); ref = document.getElementsByTagName('script')[0]; _CI.counter = (_CI.counter) ? _CI.counter + 1 : 1; document.write(''); script.type = 'text/javascript'; script.src = ''+_CI.counter; script.async = true; ref.parentNode.insertBefore(script, ref); })();
