The off-field legend of Johnny Manziel continues to grow with allegations surfacing that he was kicked out of the Manning Passing Academy for partying too hard. According to anonymous sources of the RumorsAndRants.com blog affiliated with YardBarker, Archie Manning himself asked Manziel to leave after the Texas A&M quarterback missed meetings by not showing up until noon Saturday. When Manziel didn't participate in the "Air It Out" competition with the other hotshots Saturday night, media were told that the Heisman Trophy winner was sick and had left the camp. The Manning Passing Academy, held at Nicholls State in Thibodaux, La., attracts many of the nation's top collegiate quarterbacks to serve as "counselors" to high-school age passers. Of course, the top college quarterbacks also get to compare notes and pick the brains of Archie, Peyton and Eli Manning and other NFL quarterbacks who also participate in the camp. Photos on social media showed Manziel and Alabama quarterback A.J. McCarron together at a local watering hole on Friday night. Archie and Eli Manning were also photographed sharing beverages with McCarron that night. RumorsAndRants' sources also said Manziel was not sick, despite what was told to the media. That appeared to be confirmed by at least one Twitter posting that reported Manziel to be in Northgate, College Station's entertainment district, later that night. johhny manziel was just standing behind me at northgate nightmade johnnyfootball Clare Marshall (@MarshallMellow5) July 14, 2013 Whatever the truth is, Manziel has provided a new topic of discussion when he meets with national and SEC reporters on Wednesday at the SEC Media Days in Hoover, Ala.
