At least one NFL team is convinced that Tim Tebow can still play in the league — just not at quarterback. Peter King of TheMMQB.com reported on NBC’s pregame show Thursday night that a team has sent an “inquiry” to Tebow gauging the free agent’s willingness to try out a different position. Tebow reportedly turned down both that offer and an invitation from USA Rugby to change sports altogether. With his release from the Patriots last week, the former Heisman Trophy winner has has now failed to make it as a signal caller in Denver, New York and New England. Tebow has insisted repeatedly that he will continue his quest to find success at the position, though, posting on Twitter shortly after his most recent release that he will “remain in relentless pursuit of continuing my lifelong dream of being an NFL quarterback.” Filed under: Headlines, NFL, Zack Cox

Undisclosed team inquired about Tebow changing positions

The Patriots released Tim Tebow five days ago and after three uneven seasons it's reasonable to think that his NFL career may be over. It’s Time to Stop Feeling Bad for Tim Tebow

I know, I know. Most of you are saying “I never felt bad for him.” Well, for a while, I did. I felt bad that a guy who was such a tremendous athlete, intense competitor and all-around good person was treated so poorly by the Jets, discarded so quickly by the Broncos and made into a punchline by the general public. When my favorite team — the Patriots — picked him up, I was...

Rather than regrouping in the CFL or AFL, Tim Tebow seems determined to remain unemployed

After getting clipped by the New England Patriots last weekend, SI’s Peter King reported Thursday a NFL team expressed interest in signing embattled chucker Tim Tebow. However, the 26-year-old Tebow balked when the unnamed organization asked him to play another position. Tim Tebow Jerseys Still Selling for Full Price Four Days After Quarterback Released By Patriots (Photos)

Tim Tebow is not currently on an NFL roster, but that doesn’t mean sporting goods retailers have to give him up as a cash cow. Four days after Tebow was released by the New England Patriots, his No. 5 jersey was selling for full price ($100) at several online retailers. One of the few websites that seemed to be offering a discount on the now-obsolete jerseys was NFL.com, which...

Tim Tebow: It's Time to Finally Make a Decision

It seems Tim Tebow is being the insistent little child and stomping his foot when it comes to the idea of playing football in Canada. In my head I have this image of him looking at his mother or the media and with a stern voice say, “No! I don’t wanna go!”But the harsh reality is that Canada may be the best place for an out of work quarterback who could give the Canadian Football...

Tim Tebow’s Short Stint on Patriots’ Roster Should Help Defense in Preparation for E.J. Manuel (Video)

FOXBORO, Mass. — E.J. Manuel wasn’t expected to be the first quarterback taken in this year’s NFL draft, but in retrospect, it makes sense. The read option is the latest craze in the NFL, and Manuel was the best athletic quarterback of his class. The Patriots haven’t had tremendous success against running quarterbacks in the past and the first-team defense didn’t face many...
