According to Jeff McLane of the Philadelphia Enquirer, Michael Vick will remain the Eagles’ starting quarterback for next week’s game against the Falcons.
Offensive coordinator Marty Mornhinweg will also continue to call plays despite their offensive struggles.
During this week’s press conference after firing defensive coordinator Juan Castillo, head coach Andy Reid said he would examine his team throughout the bye week and it looks like the only change they’re  making is getting rid of Castillo.
As much as Vick is turning the ball over, Nick Foles won’t get the Eagles to the playoffs if they were to bench Vick.

Robert Griffin III Should Use Steve Young, Michael Vick As Cautionary Tales

Robert Griffin III has been impressive through the first six weeks of his NFL career, bringing up memories of athletic quarterbacks like Michael Vick and Steve Young. Both players were effective running the ball in their time, but the two players have combined to play just four full seasons out of a possible 25, due to injuries. Young was one of the most effective quarterbacks...

Report: Mike Vick’s job safe, Marty Mornhinweg to still call plays for Philadelphia Eagles

A report from Jeff McLane of the Inquirer cites sources as saying that Mike Vick will keep his job as...

Michael Vick better watch his back; Reid has sword out

I appreciated Marcus Hayes’ story on Andy Reid being guilty of betrayal of his firing of Juan Castillo. It made sense and Hayes made a good argument for print. But I don’t think that is the main issue here. Andy Reid is running for his coaching life and he is taking down whoever gets in his way. If Jeff Lurie is a man of his words, 8-8 ain’t gonna cut it. The next cut could...

10 Reasons Not to Give Up on the Eagles Just Yet

Photo: Daily News via The 2012 Philadelphia Eagles season reminds me of two movies: Armageddon and Groundhog Day.  This team's problems are a lot of the same things over and over again, which usually leads to disaster in Philadelphia. The Eagles are 3-3 and in the midst of their bye week.  Michael Vick can't stop turning the ball over.  The offensive line has...
