Like all other teams, the Jets spent Saturday purging its roster to get down to the league-mandated 53-man limit, cutting 22 players in the process. And where was Rex Ryan during all this? Oh, about 700 miles to the south. Twitter user @Will_Roebuck tweeted that he had spoken to the Jets' embattled coach on a flight to Clemson, S.C., presumably for Clemson University's football game against the Georgia Bulldogs.
