Although Washington Redskins quarterback Robert Griffin III has said more than once that he'd definitely be ready for training camp, it's still unclear whether he'll actually take the practice field. A player's confidence is one thing, but a team's decision to bring back a player too soon can have dire consequences, especially when you're dealing with a franchise QB coming off a serious knee injury. Thursday on the NFL Network's "NFL Total Access", Ian Rapoport reported that no decision has been made about Griffin starting training camp on the team's active roster, and it's being floated around that he could start camp on the active/PUP list, just as Vikings running back Adrian Peterson did last year. Per NFL.com's Greg Rosenthal: ' Peterson also didn't play in the 2012 preseason, a plan that could make sense for Griffin. RGIII could be "ready" for camp, but the Redskins will do everything possible to make sure he's ready for the regular season. That could mean Griffin will watch plenty of early camp practices from the sideline. '
