So "Gronking" is now an actual thing (Photo:

Patriots TE Rob Gronkowski has set a new standard for receiving tight ends in the NFL this year, with a record 17 regular season touchdowns, plus 3 more in last weekend’s divisional playoff game. Along the way, he’s made a habit of angrily spiking the ball into the turf after every score, spawning the term “Gronking” to describe his particularly violent  take on the traditional celebration.

In fact, in an obvious take-off of the Tebowing trend, Gronking has apparently become a thing among Pats fans who want to emulate their favorite player. Somehow, in his own meathead-icon fashion, Gronkowski has actually managed to make spiking the ball cool again.

Now, someone has gone ahead and set clips of Gronkowski’s spikes to Tchaikovsky’s 1812 Overture … and let’s just say it makes for a very explosive highlight reel:

Is 'Gronking' the new 'Tebowing'?

If you are like me, there is a huge void in your life now that Tim Tebow is out of the playoffs and Tebowing is probably gone for good. The act of GRONKING means spiking a football (or anything) like Patriots tight end Rob Gronkowski does after his touchdowns. Record setting New...

Funnyman Conan O’Brien celebrates Gronkowski, Mesko… and Moses Cabrera?

Last week, we pointed you to a ridiculous and funny spoof by TBS funnyman Conan O’Brien, as he recreated Tebowmania with peanuts. Well, Conan was back at it last night. The former Harvard Lampoon president took the redo of St. Elmo’s Fire as Tim Tebow’s Fire a step further. Yup, he added a Patriots twist using — would you believe — Rob Gronkowski, Zoltan Mesko, and assistant...
