It turns out that the Summer of Gronk was not canceled, so much as delayed. In the latest Gronk fun news, which sounds like something out of an Onion article, Rob Gronkowski plans to hold a football clinic for women which will combine teaching football fundamentals with a, per boston.com, "social twist". So, what's the twist? Per NESN.com: The “social twist” comes in the form of a pre-workout cocktail hour, with beer, wine and “Gronk-tinis” available for purchase. After the walk-through sessions and brief station work, the all-female crowd will finish the night with a coffee and dessert hour. All this — and the chance to grab Gronkowski’s attention for thirty seconds — awaits participants who purchase the $99 tickets. Yes. You read that right. Gronk-tinis. The event will be held at Harvard Stadium on November 11th, and we really doubt it took much convincing to get Gronk on board for such a social gathering, erhm, football clinic. Before anyone starts panicking about off-field distractions and how Gronk's partying lifestyle is somehow going to make him more injury prone, please note that the event is set to take place during the Patriots bye week. It certainly looks like Gronk plans to be quite active during the bye though.
