Rex Ryan took the podium at Jets headquarters on Tuesday dressed for success. The Jets head coach, who has lost a ton of weight over the last year or two, addressed the media wearing a sharp white shirt with a green and black tie. The news conference, in terms of Rex Ryan, was, well, lame as hell. Just a few hours later, we only wish his brother could have had a news conference of his own. Rob Ryan was dismissed as the defensive coordinator of the Cowboys on Tuesday night after helping the Cowboys to an 8-8 record last season. Rex’s twin, who hasn’t lost any of that weight and also sports a goatee and a somewhat unkept flowing mane, must have represented an evil version of his head coach brother. And while Rex was tame in his remarks to the media while discussing another failed season, Rob still seemed pretty fired up following his dismissal. They want uncomfortable,” he said according to The Dallas Morning News. “I’m comfortably numb.” Rob may not have a job right now, but he’s certainly not short on that bravado that has been a calling card of the Ryan family. “But it doesn’t matter if I coach here or not. I’ll find another spot. I’m too damn good. I’m sure it will take me five seconds to get another job.” Ryan, who will be paid by Dallas through next season, isn’t holding any grudges, though. “I have no sour grapes,” he said according to the paper. “I really enjoyed my time here.” Photo of the Day Twins day.
