The 4-0 Atlanta Falcons face the upstart Washington Redskins and their rookie phenom, Robert Griffith III this weekend. When the game ends the Falcons could find themselves 4-1.

Last season the Atlanta Falcons grinded out many of their games en route to the playoffs, which included a few comebacks. The win over Cam Newton and the Carolina Panthers proved the Dirty Birds are still capable of doing so. However, should the Falcons end up in a similar situation this weekend they may find themselves collecting their first L of the season.

Robert Griffith III is a mobile quarterback, something Atlanta is all too familiar with. After all, the Falcons once had one of the best mobile QBs ever in Philadelphia Eagles QB, Michael Vick.… Read more

Week 5 preview: how the Falcons will beat the Redskins

The biggest key for the Falcons this week will not be getting off to the slow start they did a week ago. They want to take advantage of their passing attack going against the weak Redskin secondary. The health of Julio Jones (hand) will be a factor in this game. The team will need him to have a bigger game. He will have that opportunity going up against DeAngelo Hall and Josh Wilson...

Roddy White surprises high school students

Atlanta Falcons wide receiver can be a pretty nice guy. There are various member of the NFL such as his new nemesis Victor Cruz that would disagree with that statement. But when he’s not offering his sometimes controversial opinions, White spends a nice bit of his time doing charitable acts. Please Click Here To Read & Watch This Story

Falcons announce week 5 injury report

The Falcons announced their injury report for this weekend’s upcoming game against the Washington Redskins. Tight end Michael Palmer will miss his second consecutive game with a shoulder injury, as he was listed as out. Center Todd McClure, safety William Moore, and fullback Lousaka Polite were all listed as questionable. Both McClure and Moore were limited in practice all week...

Are the Falcons using too much nickel?

Through the first two weeks of the season, I was astounded by the amount of nickel defense the Falcons played. Their base defense which featured all three linebackers was only used on about a dozen plays out of about 150 combined plays. While it seemed to be paying dividends with their successful pass defense, it seemed detrimental against the run. Through two weeks the Falcons pass...

Falcons QB Matt Ryan Wins NFC Offensive Player Of The Month…

Falcons QB Matt Ryan Wins NFC Offensive Player Of The Month Award - For many people, nothing Matt Ryan does in September will ever matter. But it was still a really good September. The Falcons quarterback was named NFC offensive player of the month for September, for leading his team to a 4-0 record. Ryan was fairly phenomenal, with a plus-100.0 passer rating in each game. He...

White embraces Jones, still Atlanta's top gun

(Eds: With AP Photos.) By PAUL NEWBERRY AP Sports Writer Roddy White could've pouted, could've complained, could've stirred things up in the locker room. He did none of that. White knew he was still the go-to receiver for the Atlanta Falcons, no matter who lined up on the other side. ''Roddy knows he's a very good player,'' said Falcons quarterback...

Julio Jones says his hand is fine and he’s ready to go

There was a report that the hand of Atlanta Falcons wide receiver Julio Jones affected his play last week against the Panthers. Jones told that there’s nothing holding him back and his hand is just fine after suffering a laceration during their week 3 win over the Chargers. “Oh, yeah. I’m fine,” Jones said. “I’m ready to go.”

Keys for the Redskins to Upset the Falcons

The Redskins will host the Falcons at 1:00 PM on Sunday and look to hand Atlanta their first loss on the season. Redskins Nation knows that the key match-up of this game is going to be Matt Ryan and the explosive Falcon offense vs. the Redskins defense, and in particular the secondary. There is little doubt that Atlanta is going to put points on the board so more than likely,...

Atlanta Falcons (4-0) at Washington Redskins (2-2)

Atlanta Falcons (4-0) at Washington Redskins (2-2) There’s a reason I saved this one for last. I don’t really have much of a clue. The line is -3 in favor of Atlanta. These two teams have a difference in yards per play differential of .9. Divide that by .15 and add 3 points for Washington for home field advantage and you get that the real line should be…-3 in favor of Atlanta...

It's a Love Hate Relationship

Love/Hate for Week 5:  QB:  Love- Ok I get it, picking Matt “Matty Ice” Ryan may seem like a cop out, but I can’t help it. Matt Ryan has really turned it on this season, going from a mid Tier 2 QB to a full-blown elite Tier 1 QB.  In the vast majority of fantasy leagues, Ryan is among the top three QBs in scoring. He has 11 TDs so far and he’s averaging close to 300...
