The Atlanta Falcons swagger captain is hands down, without a doubt veteran receiver Roddy White.

White can thump his chest and talk trash with the best of them. He has every right to, to a certain degree as his team is 12-2. Boom. Right now they are the best in the business with only the AFC’s Houston Texans holding a similar record.

So as is his nature, White is taking it upon himself to tell anybody that wants to write it down why the Falcons are moving beyond being a great regular season foe.

In his latest salvo, White admitted that Atlanta has been prone to being intimidated by other successful football programs.

Falcons a win away from home-field advantage

FLOWERY BRANCH, Ga. The most quotable member of the Atlanta Falcons was trying not to say anything at all. But he couldn't help himself and failed. As the team's open locker room session with the media came to a close, wide receiver Roddy White left for a meeting and announced, "I'm not talking until after we win home-field advantage." Enough said. With...

Roddy White says the Falcons use to be afraid to face certain teams

After the Falcons laid the smackdown on the Giants this past Sunday, Roddy White went on his normal Twitter rants about how people need to start giving the Falcons respect. He ignored they had just lost to the Panthers the week before, but I digress. The Falcons think it is personal, but it isn’t. In [...] [[ This is a content summary only. Saints looking to win out, playoffs or not

Saints guard Jahri Evans acknowledges a measure of regret that it took so long - probably too long - for New Orleans to resemble the playoff contender it had been the previous three seasons. Evans says the Saints' 41-0 victory over Tampa Bay on Sunday offered a glimpse of how New Orleans should have played earlier this season. Still, Evans and his teammates say winning out...

The Atlanta Falcons Cheerleaders are Amongst Tops in the League

The NFL season is slowly coming to a close.  Playoffs should be extremely interesting and no matter what I’m sure we’ll see some great commercials during the Super Bowl.   Speaking of the NFL, I realize that I never share photos of one of the best resources the NFL has to offer:  the cheerleaders. That’s because [...]

Saints Nation: Defensive and Special Teams Player Grades vs. Bucs

What a fantastic performance by the Saints defense, led by improbable heroes in backup defensive backs that haven't really gotten much of a chance all season. To hold Doug Martin to 16 yards on 9 carries was worthy of the Baltimore Ravens' defense in their prime. This defense stuffed the run, clogged passing lanes, got pressure with four, and created turnovers. Steve Spagnuolo...

Saints Nation Podcast: Burning the Bucs to the Ground Edition

Andrew Juge of The Saints Nation stops by to recap the Glorious @#$ kicking of Tampa. Ralph wanted 5-11 when he was heading to the game but it was really nice to have just  great 3 hour fun fest in this awful season. The ceiling on Joe Morgan is what? Andrew gives the Saints credit for sticking with him. The Saints upgraded big time at LB in the off season but what do they look...

Samuel, Eagles go in opposite directions

When the Philadelphia Eagles traded Donovan McNabb within their division, they got it right. When the same organization traded cornerback Asante Samuel within the NFC to a team with which they compete for a playoff spot, one cant help but think they got it wrong. Especially considering the meager compensation that the Eagles received reported as a seventh-round draft pick and...

Former NFL running back Jamal Anderson pleads guilty to reckless driving

On Monday, former Pro Bowl running back Jamal Anderson pleaded guilty to a reduced charge of reckless driving. Anderson played eight seasons (1994-2001) with the Atlanta Falcons and was well known for popularizing the "Dirty Bird" touchdown celebration, with which he flapped his arms as if they were wings and gyrated his body to the crowd. From The Atlanta Journal-Constitution...

Falcons-Lions Preview

The Atlanta Falcons hope a strong finish to the regular season will help build enough momentum to avoid another early playoff exit. After earning a playoff spot last season, the reeling Detroit Lions are relegated to the role of spoilers this time. The visiting Falcons can clinch home-field advantage throughout the NFC playoffs by handing the Lions a seventh consecutive loss Saturday...

Roddy White Calls Jeff Green “Soft and Terrible” On Twitter

Atlanta Falcons wide receiver Roddy White must have been watching the Celtics-Rockets game on Friday night and clearly didn’t like what he saw from Celts forward Jeff Green during the action. White tweeted on Friday night that Green “is soft and terrible” and that trading Kendrick Perkins for Green was “the worst decision.” Pretty interesting (and random, unless there...
