Ryan Clark told Alan Robinson of the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review that he believes the winless Steelers can still make the playoffs. “I just believe we can win. That’s just the bottom line,” Clark said Tuesday. “I think we have the people in this room, the coaches (to win). Also, looking at our schedule, we’re not playing world beaters, we’re not playing gods. We’re

  • i think he's a little overly optimistic to say the least. and even if by some miracle they do they'll lose anyway. their offense, defense and coaching all stink. i think their best chance would be if all the other teams get in plane crashes and they're the only team left, then maybe.

Steelers are sending GM to watch QB Teddy Bridgewater play tonight

According to a Louisville TV station WDRB there will be at least 26 NFL scouts in attendance, from 20 teams. Jacksonville has asked for three credentials, including one for Jaguars GM David Caldwell. Pittsburgh will also have its GM, Kevin Colbert, present. And Tampa Bay is sending Eric Stokes, the team’s director of scouting, the […]

During the bye week, Pittsburgh Steelers safety Ryan Clark ran off to ESPN to explain the team's 0-4 start and work on his analyst skills on First Take. During the segment, Clark gave his thoughts on several topics and it included the play of quarterback Ben Roethlisberger. "Sometimes you have to protect Ben against Ben," said Clark. "He's a guy that's...

Steelers sign former Cowboy Will Allen at Pro-Rated Cost

Today the Steelers added a true veteran to their secondary, when they signed former Dallas Cowboys safety Will Allen who was released the other day by America’s Team.  Allen is a 10 year veteran and will provide a very solid vet to the Steelers secondary.  This could be a way to turn the season around, […]

The Pro Bowl will get a new look according to Darren Rovell of ESPN.  NIKE will face life the former Pro Bowl uniforms making them looks a lot better. I am a fan of the uniforms and cannot wait to see what Nike has in store for the game.  Nike has done some amazing […]

Roethlisberger points to running game progress

The Steelers are 19th in total offense and 31st in rushing yet Ben Roethlisberger is seeing progress on a weekly basis. He especially likes what he saw of rookie running back Le'Veon Bell in his NFL debut. “I'm not going to say he was Adrian Peterson” Roethlisberger said. “But he showed me some glimpses of the things I see Adrian Peterson do. But I don't want him...

Ryan Clark Says 0-4 Steelers Can Still Make the Playoffs

What else can he say? It is unlikely, but not impossible, but highly unlikely. The winless Steelers (0-4) have only a 1.2 percent chance of making the postseason, based on past results, but Clark said it will happen. One reason, he said, is that every other AFC North team is showing weaknesses. “I just believe we can win. That’s just the bottom line,” Clark said Tuesday. ...

Personnel Moves By Steelers Done With Contracts in Mind

Evander “Ziggy” Hood has started 43 games for the Pittsburgh Steelers since being drafted in 2009. In that time he has amassed over 100 tackles and has 8.5 career sacks. He is also in the final year of his rookie contract and he will not be starting Sunday’s game in New York. Ryan Clark has been with the Steelers since 2006 and has been a key member of several top-ranked defenses...

What Kind of Changes Were You Expecting From Tomlin?

Mike Tomlin’s first press conference as the head coach of an 0-4 team was short, poorly attended and offered the usual clichés and the overuse of the word, “obviously.” It also provided us with a couple of changes for Sunday’s game in New York against the Jets. First, Kelvin Beachum will get the start at left tackle and will be backed up by newly acquired Levi Brown. This...

Tomlin Says Lack Of Turnovers And Sacks Are Mostly A Result Of Them Being Behind

Prior to the game against the Minnesota Vikings, I wrote about how the Pittsburgh Steelers lack of defensive sacks and turnovers was tied to them not being ahead on the scoreboard and I warned that it was unlikely to change until the offense started to get leads, especially in the second half of games. Tuesday, head coach Mike Tomlin confirmed what I wrote during his interview on...

Mike Tomlin Says Levi Brown Was A ‘Critical Acquisition’

During his Tuesday press conference, Pittsburgh Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin might have dropped a few hints as to what he thinks the starting offensive line might actually be Sunday against the New York Jets. The Steelers of course acquired veteran tackle Levi Brown via a trade last week with the Arizona Cardinals and Tomlin called the move a "critical acquisition" during...

Steelers Like The Continued Evolution Of Rookie LB Vince Williams

A few weeks ago, the Pittsburgh Steelers were hoping rookie linebacker Vince Williams would start to separate himself from Kion Wilson at the buck inside linebacker position and according to head coach Mike Tomlin on Tuesday, that separation has now taken place. "He's been solid not only in performance, but in communication," said Tomlin about Williams. "I like...
