PLAYERS: Ryan Tannehill
TEAMS: Miami Dolphins

Ryan Tannehill – QB – Miami Dolphins (vs. Atlanta Falcons) I really think this game will be high scoring. I don’t have to tell you to start Matty Ice but Ryan Tannehill should have quite the game himself. The Falcons are banged up on defense as Left End Kroy Biermann tore his Achilles last week, Linebacker Sean Weatherspoon is out and Cornerback Asante Samuel is banged up. The Falcons defense has allowed the fifth most passing yards (709) through two weeks. Tannehill has been a bit limited in practice with a sore right shoulder but he will armed and ready come Sunday. I expect a 300 yard + passing day including two Touchdown passes. Something I do not see Tom Brady doing. The time has come to bench Brady folks,  at least until he gets a healthy Rob Gronkowski back. There just aren’t enough weapons out there for him, plus Drew Brees only put up 14.88 points against the same Tampa Bay defense that Brady and the Patriots draw this week. Start Tannehill with confidence. Bernard Pierce is ready to show the world what he’s got. Ray Rice has been ruled out so Bernard Pierce will make his NFL starting debut. Head Coach John Harbaugh praised Pierce on how  amazing he looked and already mentioned the Ravens were ready to ride Pierce this week so, so should you! He’s currently 61% owned in Yahoo leagues, but should be a must own as the game’s top RB back up. Hips can be tricky and there’s no knowing how Rice will hold up the rest of the way. I think Pierce puts up borderline top 12 RB numbers this week and rises to the occasion in his first NFL start. He is a strong runner who rarely goes down on the first hit. Don’t let the name brand fool you – how good is the Houston Defense really? They’ve given up 52 points in two weeks. Yikes! Pierce should be in for a nice day hovering around the 90-100 yard rushing range, including a TD, plus a handful of catches for about thirty yards. Pick him up! Ryan Broyles – WR- Detroit Lions – (vs. @Washington Redskins) Key word vs. Washington Redskins. The skins’ defense has been getting absolutely shelled. It won’t be any different this week with Matthew Stafford in town who is back to his superstar ways. Jim Haslett’s Washington group ranks dead last in total defense giving up a league high 135.4 QB rating to their opponents gun slingers. Which makes Ryan Broyles an intriguing play this week. Broyles was the talk around Lions training camp this off-season but wasn’t quite up to 100% by seasons start. Now he is. Plus third receiver Patrick Edwards is out with an apparently severe ankle injury and Reggie Bush status for tomorrow is still up in the air. I think we can see a heavy dose of three receiver sets for Detroit and Broyles to contribute with about five catches for around 60 yards. Nothing too too special but someone to add and keep an eye on for progress. Keep an eye on his status heading into gametime. The other Arizona Cardinal receivers (vs. @New Orleans Saints) Much like the Dolphins-Falcons game, I expect this Saints/Cardinals match-up to be quite the air-show. Cardinals Head Coach Bruce Arians’ three receiver aerial attack has been effective at getting contributions from all three of Larry Fitzgerald, Andre Roberts and Michael Floyd. With Fitzgerald still bothered by a hamstring injury, his presence on the field will help Roberts and Floyd. Roberts posted an 8/97 line in Week 1 while Floyd posted a respectable 4/82. I do like both this week. Roberts is the safer play as he receives more targets. But if you’re feeling dandy and fine go with Floyd as he has more of the big play potential. Jordan Reed – TE – Washington Redskins If you’re hurting at Tight End, Jordan Reed may be an okay start for you. Fred Davis has been non-existent and is questionable for this week’s tilt against the Lion’s. Reed is emerging here and is definitely the TE to own. Robert Griffin III likes to throw a ton in the 4th quarter as his team has been trailing late in games this season. Look for Reed to step up and be a nice target, especially if Davis is out. Thrift Shop Not too shabby start of the week!  Jason Snelling – RB –Atlanta Falcons (vs. @Miami Dolphins) Snelling something good in Hot-Lanta? Well their playing in Miami but Jason Snelling is a decent play this week. With Steven Jackson out for this contest and possibly for three weeks, Snelling is the man to own in this backfield. Jacquizz Rodgers got more touches in Week 2 but that might quickly change. 11 rushes for 17 yards is not going to cut it. Snelling is the more reliable player and we all know how players can quickly find the dog house. Snelling’s two rush attempts went for 19 yards and a score but he was more impressive on the receiving end, catching four passes for 41 yards. Rodgers caught four for just 28. Miami’s Defense allowed Ahmad Bradshaw and Donald Brown to average 4.3 yards per carry in week 2 so I expect Snelling to fill in just fine with an increase in touches. I think he should hover around the 70 total yard range (60 last week), and punch-in a goal-line TD, which is his role. 70 yards and a TD? That’s something I like to call not too shabby!
