How convinced are you that the end of last season will not continue into the 2012 season? I thought it was over until I heard Santonio’s responses to questioning on a conference call today with the New York Media, the first day of team OTAs. Because Santonio really didn’t address the debacle that was the end of the season in Miami (you remember, where we was benched), the media as a whole was going to grill him to finally put this story to bed. It could have been a non-story if Santonio simply fessed up and said he personally made mistakes and is putting last season behind him. He sort of answered that way without the personal accountability part. When asked if he had any regrets his answer: “Why Should I?”. “Why should ?” Holmes said when asked whether he had personal regrets for his behavior at the time. “I gave my statement after the game was over with and that was that. I left it at that. That’s why you guys didn’t have anything to talk about this offseason. You didn’t ha...

New York Jets: Day One Of New Offense

The headlines surrounding the New York Jets first day of voluntary workouts centered on Santonio Holmes tone with reporters and his entertaining decision to Tweet a picture of himself wearing a shirt that said “captain.” Personally, I couldn’t give a damn if Holmes gave an attitude to reporters and how could you not crack a smile at that picture? Let’s talk about more important...

Tebow hears boos at Yankee Stadium

Tim Tebow got a chilly reception from New York fans, who booed the quarterback when a camera caught him at the Yankees-Angels game on Sunday night.

Time Magazine names six athletes in Top 100 Influential People list including Lin, Tebow

Linsanity and TebowMania have thankfully died down in recent weeks.  Jeremy Lin saw his season come to an unfortunate end with knee surgery and Tim Tebow is settling down into the NFL offseason after being traded from Denver to the New York Jets.  Nevertheless, that recent inactivity isn't slowing down the pair's influence not just in sports, but the world.  Jeremy Lin...

Tim Tebow, Mark Sanchez and the New York Jets are scheduled for four prime-time television appearances this season, including a Thanksgiving night matchup at home against the New England Patriots. The Jets will play two Monday night games - at home against Houston on Oct. 8 and at Tennessee on Dec. 17 - and a Sunday night game against San Diego at MetLife Stadium on Dec. 23. The...

Steelers schedule road-heavy early, home late

The Pittsburgh Steelers will open the 2012 season in a playoff rematch, though one with an entirely different look. The Steelers travel to Denver to face the Peyton Manning-led Broncos on Sunday, Sept. 9, the first of five primetime games for Pittsburgh next fall. The Steelers host the New York Jets and Tim Tebow in their home opener on Sept. 16. Pittsburgh also hosts cross-state...

Tebow and Wade Receive A Bronx Cheer

From ESPN New York:Tim Tebow has work to do if he's going to win over New York sports fans. The new backup quarterback for the Jets was booed at Yankee Stadium on Sunday night when he was shown on the giant video board -- even though he was wearing a Yankees cap. Sitting in the third row next to the Los Angeles Angels dugout, Tebow cracked a smile and acknowledged the...

Yankee Stadium – Jackie Robinson Day and Booing Tim Tebow

It is amazing what things can happen at Yankee Stadium.  Enemies are booed, heroes get standing ovations and moments are always waiting to happen. If there is one thing that the New York Yankees can do better than anyone else is a production.  If you have not been to a game at the new stadium, the video montages and the videos shown on the main screen are second to none.  Each...

The NFL schedule was released a day ago, and we've had time to look it over and compile a list of the juiciest games of 2012. You may not agree with all of the games on this list, but we assure you that most of these games will be absolutely amazing contests. 10. New York Jets at Jacksonville Jaguars, week 14 Some may say that this game won't gave any postseason relevance...

New York Jets: Mid/Late Round Wide Receiver Prospects

It would be a shock if the New York Jets didn’t draft at a wide receiver with one of their ten picks in the NFL Draft next week. Their current depth chart beyond Santonio Holmes is second year slot receiver Jeremy Kerley, injury prone Chaz Schilens and reserve Patrick Turner. There has been some speculation they could end up with Notre Dame’s Michael Floyd in the first round...
