The Aaron Curry era in Seattle is nearly over, according to head coach Pete Carroll. Fox Sports Jay Glazer was the first to report that the Seahawks agreed to trade Curry to the Raiders Wednesday. ESPNs Chris Mortensen tweeted that the Raiders will give the Seahawks a 7th round draft pick in the 2012 and a conditional mid-round pick in 2013. But hold your horses
Carroll was on SiriusXM NFL Radios Movin the Chains with Pat Kirwan and Tim Ryan [via ProFootballTalk.com's Mike Florio], and said the deal isnt quite complete. That isnt final yet, Carroll said. Its something thats in the works and well have to wait and see. Theres still some stuff to be done to make that official. But K.J. Wright has made this possible, yeah. Hes played so well. He played that Mike and that Sam backer spot and took over the Sam backer spot three weeks now starting and did a beautiful job. And we think we can really move ahead with him so it gave us a chance to at least make an effort to make a deal and get a couple more players for the future here, you know, with picks. But well see what happens. Its not official yet. Source: Football News Now

The Oakland Raiders acquired linebacker Aaron Curry from the Seattle Seahawks, though it's unclear if the former first-round pick will play this weekend.
Coach doesn't know how long strained pectoral muscle will keep starter Tarvaris Jackson out.
As the Raiders reportedly embark on a search for a General Manager, they should seriously consider the possibility that first-year coach Hue Jackson is perfectly capable of running the show. Per a league source, the trade for linebacker Aaron Curry (who’ll debut Sunday as a starter) included a revised contract that limits Oakland’s financial investment…
Three days ago Aaron Curry was a backup strongside linebacker in Seattle. Now he's preparing to start at the weak side for the Oakland Raiders on Sunday.
The Seattle Seahawks have agreed to trade linebacker Aaron Curry to the Oakland Raiders for undisclosed draft picks in 2012 and 2013, sources told Fox Sports reporter and NFL Network contributor Jay Glazer.
Is Pete Carroll head coach of the Seattle Seahawks trying to get Lebron James of the NBA's Miami Heat to drop hoops and take up NFL football? in our Seahawks news, gossip, for the day Q points out On Wednesday, Carroll upped the ante by posting a customized Seahawks jersey with James' name on it to his Twitter account...
In the Buffalo Bills, the Giants face another opponent they know very little about. Last week, they were fooled by Pete Carroll’s mediocre Seahawks in a clear case of “any given Sunday…” This week, the Bills’ recent success precedes them. They will not be sneaking up on the Giants, but will it matter?
How will the Giants’ porous run defense fare against the Bills’ explosive...
The Seahawks quarterback situation will be a hot-button topic, but I tend to agree with coach Pete Carroll on this one: Let's see how Tarvaris Jackson recovers from his strained pec before getting too lathered up about hypothetical contingencies. Jackson had been on his best streak as a Seahawk, leading them to 35 points combined in the second half of the Atlanta game and the...
Bye weeks are great for football teams, especially banged up and really young teams. The Seahawks are both of those things, so it’s safe to say that this week is great for the Seahawks. But bye weeks are really bad for sports writers, and consequently they’re really bad for fans. With no football to cover, writers get desperate and type up stories that quite frankly do not deserve...
Oh, that LeBron James. First, he playfully nudges ESPN's John Clayton about finding him an NFL gig, and now he's got Seahawks coach Pete Carroll "jokingly" courting him. From the Sporting News:
Seattle Seahawks coach Pete Carroll on Tuesday tweeted James: “are you aware of what the league’s rookie minimum is?”
And like that a recruiting pitch was on....
