NFL Injury Report:
The Seattle Seahawks officially downgraded wide receiver Percy Harvin to OUT against the Tampa Bay Bucs this weekend, according to NFL.com’s Dan Hanzus. This coming after the Seahawks playmaker experienced what is being referred to as a “flare-up” with his torn labrum last Thursday during practice. Harvin had returned to limited practice participation in anticipation for his season debut, but experienced minor discomfort in the area of his injury.
It was reported by multiple outlets (including Harvin’s twitter account) that the dynamic receiver was on pace to play against the St. Louis Rams last week. Much to the dismay of fans in the Pacific Northwest, head coach Pete Carroll quickly nixed that idea as Seattle’s management clearly had no intentions of prematurely rushing their offseason centerpiece back to the field. The Seahawks then lost receiver Sidney Rice for the season with a torn ACL, unfortunately leaving Seattle’s passing game even more questionable heading forward in 2013.
Luckily for the Seahawks, the “flare-up” that Harvin experienced has been dismissed as normal wear-and-tear brought on by his rigorous rehabilitation process. As a precautionary measure, Harvin underwent an MRI to identify any potential damage he may have done. There was no reported setback with his labrum injury according to head coach Pete Carroll meaning Harvin will continue working toward his eventual return to the field hopefully in time for a Seahawks playoff push this year. There is currently no exact timetable for his return.
BEST OF MAXIM
Seattle Seahawks head coach Pete Carroll told the media that Percy Harvin underwent another MRI to make sure he hasn’t suffered any setbacks.
“Yeah the doctors have looked at him. We did another MRI to make sure we were seeing everything right,” Carroll said,. ” There were no complications and all of that so we’re just bringing him back.”

Hide your kids, hide your wife because Seattle Seahawks fourth-year wide receiver Golden Tate is armed and dangerous with cat-quick speed and ankle-breaking elusiveness in open space. The former 2010 second round pick (No. 60 overall) out of Notre Dame fielded a punt from within Seattle’s own five yard line before breaking several tackles and making several other players miss...
Despite the belief that Percy Harvin might be activated for the Seattle Seahawks this week as they host the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, head coach Pete Carroll stated yesterday that he will not be activated this week. Try saying that three times fast, eh?… Seattle Seahawks wide receiver Golden Tate, of last season’s “Fail Mary” fame, got slapped with a $7,875 fine for his taunting of Rams defensive backs Rodney McLeod and Janoris Jenkins as he capped off an 80-yard catch and run TD last Monday night, reports the NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport.

Well, Monday night’s effort was a bit of a disaster in Fantasy terms for the Seattle Seahawks but as all good teams do, they found a way to win the game. 7-1 sure sounds good doesn’t it?
This week they are back at home – finally to take on a reeling Tampa Bay team that just may be the worst in the game right now. The one strong area on...
Jason La Canfora of CBS Sports reports that the Seattle Seahawks are very likely to lose both CBs Brandon Browner and Walter Thurmond during free agency this offseason.
According to La Canfora, both Browner and Thurmond are “coveted” by several NFL teams that have pair of cornerbacks towards the top of their free agent rankings.
Having built perhaps the best secondary in the...

Seahawks keys to success
Will the Seahawks uncover the pirate’s chest that contains their 8th W. Or will the offensive line leak like a sieve leaving Russell Wilson sinking under the depths of the Buccaneer pass rush while watching the possibility of 8-1 drift at sea like a ghost ship into a fog bank?
On the surface what we see is a 7-1 home team facing an 0-7 away team. ...
Seattle wideout Percy Harvin won't be activated for Week 9. SOURCE: Lindsay Jones, USA TodayFantasy Spin:He's still recovering from offseason hip surgery. Harvin's timetable for a return seems to get murkier by the day. The Seahawks could really use him, especially now that Sidney Rice is done for the year with a torn ACL.
Seattle covering this week’s line of 14.5 would appear to depend on almost one thing; their own line, the one that’s supposed to protect Russell Wilson. Why not begin this with a barb towards what was already a major concern before Monday night. What transpired in St. Louis has been raked over throughout the week and doesn’t need revisiting from me. We all know the current problem...
