Seattle Seahawks head coach Pete Carroll has officially ruled wide receiver Percy Harvin out for their game on Monday Night Football against the St. Louis Rams this week, according to NFL.com’s Kevin Patra. Harvin was acquired from the Minnesota Vikings for Seattle’s 2013 first-round draft pick. He was expected to bring a dynamic element to the Seahawks receiving core with his speed and versatility. Unfortunately, Harvin was sidelined early in training camp with a torn labrum in his hip. He has yet to suit up for his new team. When Harvin was initially injured, many speculated that he would be out until at least Thanksgiving (end of November). However, he has healed and rehabilitated at an amazing rate leading to the possibility of a much earlier return to the field. Last week, Harvin hinted via Twitter that he could potentially return week 8 versus St. Louis.
