Found November 20, 2011 on 12th Man Rising:
As I said in my prediction, This game had the potential to be “trap game” for the Seahawks. They way the game started, it very well could have ended up that way. Luckily, the Seahawks settled down and took care of business against an inferior St. Louis Rams team. This game has a large number of cool moments that deserve to be part of any highlight reel. There was the pass thrown from WR Sydney Rice to Mike Williams for 55 yards, the interception and subsequent “beast mode” stiff arm by DE Red Bryant, and the Justin Forsett TD where he jumped out of his shoe juking a defender. This was just a fun game to watch. Here’s my game notes:The penalty epidemic continues. This week it was 13 penalties for 100 yards. This has to stop, and soon.Speaking of penalties, Brandon Browner added (at least) 2 more to his total. Giving him 18 by my count for almost 200 yards.  He’s playing better in coverage, but if he can’t cover w/o drawing flags then its just not good enough.Tarvaris Jackson had one of...

5 Reasons the Seahawks Laid a Beatdown on the Rams

With the win Seattle kept their faint playoff hopes alive, but will likely have to win out to snag a Wild Card berth. Marshawn Lynch extended his streak of consecutive games with a touchdown to six. Sidney Rice had a touchdown reception and made an impressive 55-yard pass to Mike Williams

Seahawks’ Red Bryant surprises with his first NFL interception

The Seattle Seahawks' 24-7 victory over the St. Louis Rams was not pretty by any means — the Seahawks managed just 148 yards through the air, and quarterback Tarvaris Jackson managed to mangle his team's first two drives with interceptions. However, the Rams were unable to take advantage of Seattle's mistakes, because their offensive line has been blown apart by injuries...

Rams vs Seahawks Big Plays Big Decisions

No trick plays necessary for the Seattle Seahawks. A punishing defense was more than enough. The offense couldn't get anything going and again wasted a solid defensive effort. Sam Bradford completed just 20 of 40 pass attempts, was sacked five times, fumbled twice and threw an INT. Steven Jackson saw his three-game streak of 100-yard games come to an end with a dismal 42 yards...

Double Flashback: Two Seahawks Playoff Wins Over the Redskins

Every once in a while, I'll reach back into the archives of my personal blog (which existed from 2002-2009 and more or less got killed by facebook, twitter and this blog) for classic posts about our Seahawks. This week is a great time to look back at the two victories among the top 10 in franchise history that came at the expense of the Washington Redskins: Our 20-10 2005 Divisional...

Seahawks shut down Rams

Sidney Rice caught a touchdown pass and drew a pass interference call in the end zone that led to a field goal and the Seattle Seahawks defeated the St. Louis Rams 24-7 on Sunday. The Seahawks defense also came up with a big game, sacking Sam Bradford five times and forcing him to lose two fumbles that led to touchdowns. Marshawn Lynch scored for the fourth straight week, although...

Rams' offense still lacks rhythm

ST. LOUIS A season that was lost many weeks ago is unlike anything he has lived before, so Sam Bradford leaned back in front of his locker and continued to wait. He was dressed in full uniform more than 10 minutes after he walked off the field to fan disinterest and personal disgust. He buried his face in a cream-colored towel as the sound of teammates unfastening their pads filled...

Morning links: Getting Rice more involved

The Seahawks accomplished something they’ve been working on all year the past three weeks, rushing for over 100 yards the past three games. But another important step in coach Pete Carroll’s overall philosophy on offense has yet to develop – creating explosive plays down the field. The Seahawks have 18 catches of 25 or more yards this season, 20th in the league. Receiver Sidney...

Seahawks defense stars in 24-7 win over Rams

No trick plays necessary for the Seattle Seahawks. A punishing defense was more than enough.

Updated Playoff Picture

I know what you’re thinking: “Playoffs?… Playoffs!?… Pla?Playoff!? Are you kidding me? Playoffs?” (Be sure to read that in your best Jim Mora Sr. voice) But before you give yourself whiplash shaking your head in disbelief, here me out for a second. The Seahawks currently sit 9th in the NFC, just 3 spots out of the playoffs. The Seahawks also have an easy schedule ahead...

Keys to the game: Seahawks at Rams

Three keys to Seahawks victory 1. Keep on trucking. In the past two games, Marshawn Lynch has had his two best regular-season rushing totals as a Seahawk. Even with Seattle losing rookie linemen John Moffitt and James Carpenter to season-ending knee injuries, the Seahawks have to start out trying to get traction on the ground against a Rams defense allowing the most rushing yards...

Seattle Seahawks 24, St. Louis Rams 7

The Rams flat out stunk up the joint yesterday, mostly on offense.  Sam Bradford had a so-so game as he completed 20 of 40 passes for 181 yards with 1 TD pass and 1 INT.  Steven Jackson had a rough go of it in this game with 15 carries for 42 yards (2.8 ypc) and 3 grabs for 19 yards (6.3 avg).  WR Brandon Lloyd led the way in the air for the Rams in this game with 67 yards on...

Rams vs Seahawks: The Good, The Bad & The Ugly

The St. Louis Rams (2-8) fell victim to the Seattle Seahawks (4-6) with a final score of 24-7, it was an absolute embarrassment for the Rams in front of their home crowd at the Edward Jones Dome in St. Louis. Prior to the Seattle game the Rams had won two of their last three games, and even the one loss during that three game stretch came against the Arizona Cardinals in a close battle that ended

CB King up; WR Alexander not

Despite suffering an ankle injury in practice Thursday and missing practice Friday, cornerback Justin King will dress for the Rams and their injury-riddled secondary.
