The 53-man roster got the job done in Seattle on Sunday night, posting a 29-3 win over the 49ers. The 12th man got its job done, too.
A fan group called Volume 12 announced Sunday via Facebook that it had reached a 131.9 decibel reading at the famously loud CenturyLink Field, according to The Associated Press. That means Sunday night’s feat is the new Guinness World Records mark for the “loudest stadium” — breaking the 131.76 decibels previously recorded in Turkey in 2011 during a Galatasaray SC-Fenerbahce soccer game.
It didn’t all go smoothly for Seattle fans on Sunday, though — one ill-timed whistle got the team off on the wrong foot before both the Hawks and the 12th man bounced back.

2-0! I still have questions!
Fresh off a big-time win in their home opener against arch rival San Francisco, the Seattle Seahawks are in the perfect position to bring the Lombardi Trophy home to Seattle for the very first time.
At 2-0, the playoffs still seem light years away; but when you only play 16 games a year, every game counts at a far greater level.
Greater still are some...
While Seattle Seahawk fans enjoy referring to themselves as the “12th man,” that’s legally not the case.
According to Darren Heitner of Forbes, Texas A&M University own the trademark rights to the phrase.

Seattle Seahawks coach Pete Carroll says left tackle Russell Okung is unlikely to play on Sunday against Jacksonville after suffering a toe injury against San Francisco.
Carroll would not give specifics on the severity of Okung's injury on Monday. He said the team is still awaiting more information before coming to a determination on how long they'll be without their Pro...

Seattle Seahawks Pro-Bowl left tackle Russell Okung left Sunday night’s divisional game against the San Francisco 49ers’ with an apparent foot injury, according to ESPN.com's Terry Blount. The injury occurred in the first half and was reported during the game by the Sunday Night Football crew as a possible toe injury. The Seahawks organization has yet to comment on the seriousness...
The Seattle Seahawks did more than handily defeat the San Francisco 49ers, 29-3, during Sunday Night Football. Apparently, they also set a Guinness World Record for the loudest stadium noise ever recorded, twice.
The record-setting event occurred during a goal line stand in the third quarter when the decibel level at CenturyLink Field reportedly reached 136.6. This shattered the...
Following a Michael Bennett sack during the 49ers-Seahawks game, the 12th Man officially set the mark for the loudest crowd roar ever.
The Seattle Seahawks and their fans set a World Record last night, making their home stadium the loudest ever. Now the Seahawks are trying to make history once again, as the largest favorite in an NFL game this season. Although the NFL is only three weeks old heading into this week, Seattle has opened up as nearly a 20 point favorite heading into their home game this week on Sunday...
While I was personally rooting for the San Francisco 49′ers during Sunday night’s match between the Niners and the Seattle Seahawks, I have an affinity for sh*t talkers who can back it up. Naturally that means that Seahawk cornerback Richard Sherman ranks high on my likes list.
Sherman was a key piece in the 29-3 victory over the Seahawks NFC West rival 49ers with the biggest...
The Seattle Seahawks rode bad weather, and the loudest crowd in stadium history to a 29-3 dismantling of the San Francisco 49ers on Sunday night football. Sherman was his normal polarizing self after the game, calling out all the idiots who doubted his team.
“There are a lot of pundits and ignorant idiots who thought, ‘Oh, the Seahawks are gonna lose this game.’ Well, please...
Richard Sherman, who once played under Jim Harbaugh at Stanford, gave his former coach a slap in the rear and a “good game” during the post-game of the Sunday Night Football game between the 49ers and Seahawks. The two have bad blood now, though, after Sherman called Harbaugh a “Bully” last season.
Sherman #Seahawks said he tried to talk to his former college coach...
We reported last week that there would be undercover cops dressed in 49ers jersey. This guy is clearly having fun with the idea. [ Black Sports Online ] Need NFL Tickets? Loading... ZergNet The post Undercover cop exposed at Seahawks-49ers game (Photo) appeared first on Pro Football Zone.
Spoiler alert: Colin Kaepernick (or at least his Madden NFL 25 avatar) will be losing an eyebrow as per the bet in the Madden TV commercial since Russell Wilson and the Seattle Seahawks dominated the San Francisco 49ers Sunday evening, 29-3.
After last week’s QB performance, I gave Wilson a ‘B’ grade, with the expectation that he and the Hawks could and would improve. Kaepernick...
