Alfred Morris caught 11 passes last season, which almost double the suckishness of Stevan Ridley’s 6, but is still a suck fest.  Roy Helu is healthy and if you know anything about Shanny’s past and RBs, anything is possible.  Hopefully Morris can get more targets (can’t get less) and get more receptions (can’t get less) to increase his value in PPR leagues.  Here is what Shanmeister said about Alf’s improvements as a receiver: “He has spent a lot of time in the offseason catching the football, running routes and you can see that hard work has paid off because he’s a lot more natural. It gives you another dimension.” Well, we can always hope that the improvement comes this season and we see 30 plus receptions to go along with the majority of the carries and the work at the stripe.  H/T Finishing Strong: RBs Real Info From Fake Games

RG3 on gays, living sober and his dad’s infamous interview

The more that Washington Redskins quarterback Robert Griffin III mentions his practice time or his coach, the more attention he brings to his situation. From the moment he won the Heisman trophy in 2012, he has basked in all the glory that has been thrown his way. Griffin has starred in the big commercials, been engulfed by the spotlight and has dove headfirst into accepting the...

Redskins “buzzing” over Brian Orakpo’s play in camp

According to Jason La Canfora of CBS Sports, the Redskins are excited about the way linebacker Brian Orakpo has looked so far in training camp. The Redskins aren’t in any rush to do a new deal with pass rusher Brian Orakpo, from everything I have heard, and given his injury issues in the past they want to see how this season plays out. And there’s always the franchise tag...

Robert Griffin Wants to Play in Preseason, Mike Shanahan says there is “No Possibility”

Reports are surfacing that Robert Griffin III is pushing the coaching staff to play week 3 of the preseason. I admire RG3’s competitive drive to get back on the field but to me his judgment is cloudy. Maybe he still hasn’t shaken off the concussion he suffered week 5 versus the Falcons last year. Griffin seems to want to play in the meaningless preseason exhibition games more...

Robert Griffin III’s first pro off-season: Much ado about nothing

I want to preface this piece by saying I have always had a strong belief in something called the Champion theory. Whoever is at the top, whether in sports or business, there will always be people gunning for them. As a kid, I remember the WWF belt wasn’t passed around like the offering basket at church, Hulk Hogan held that title for what seemed like years and always had to deal...

Redskins In No Rush To Re-Sign OLB Brian Orakpo?

Jason La Canfora of CBS Sports reports that the Washington Redskins “aren’t in any rush” to lock up OLB Brian Orakpo this season. La Canfora adds that Washington want’s to see how things play out this season for Orakpo given his injury issues in the past few seasons. RG3 takes first 11-on-11 snaps

Robert Griffin III has taken his first 11-on-11 snaps at Washington Redskins training camp. The quarterback ran 16 plays with the first-string offense Wednesday against a scout-team defense. He completed 7 of 10 passes with an interception. Griffin had been limited to 7-on-7 drills during camp as he works his way back from reconstructive knee surgery. Coach Mike Shanahan's...

Know Your Enemy: Washington Redskins

Running wild: Washington Redskins Despite grappling with an enormous cap penalty imposed by the rest of the league for overspending in the uncapped year of 2010, and despite lacking depth in the secondary, the Washington Redskins ended their 2012 regular season at 10-6. They capped off their campaign by handing the Dallas Cowboys a loss […]The post Know Your Enemy: Washington Redskins...

Despite all of the positive news surrounding Washington Redskins quarterback Robert Griffin III as he inches closer to a full recovery from a torn ACL that he suffered last January,  Griffin is still not a lock to start Week 1, according to Mike Florio of Pro Football Talk. According to a source with knowledge of the situation,  talks of Griffin playing Week 1 are "premature...

RG3 Wasn’t Happy Rob Parker Got Fired by ESPN

Former ESPN personality, Rob Parker was fired by the network for his comments about Redskins QB Robert Griffin III.  RG3 spoke about the incident in an interview for the September issue of GQ Magazine. “I don’t think it’s right to make fun of Rob Parker for losing his job. There’s some wrong in what he said, but there’s some wrong in him losing his job as well. And I...

Donovan McNabb says Robert Griffin III is ‘getting brainwashed’ by Redskins

If anyone thought that Donovan McNabb would stand idly by and not feel compelled to provide an unnecessary retort to comments Washington Redskins quarterback Robert Griffin III made during a GQ interview that were made public on Tuesday, well, they’d be sorely mistaken. In the GQ profile, RG3 reacted to how the former NFL (and […]The post Donovan McNabb says Robert Griffin III...
