Last week, record setting New England Patriots tight end Rob Gronkowski received a very generous contract extension from the franchise. Should teammate Aaron Hernandez now expect a similar contract extension from the Patriots? The tight end tandem entered the league in 2010, each signing four-year rookie deals, Hernandez will become a free agent after the 2013 season. The duo make up the most formidable tight end pairing in the NFL currently and wreak havoc on opposing defenses for years to come, but what is it reasonable for Hernandez to expect from the Patriots? Hernandez was the Patriots third leading receiver last season with 79 receptions for 910 yards and seven scores while Gronkowski re-wrote the NFL record book with 1,327 receiving yards and 17 touchdowns. Hernandez, a University of Florida product, is playing in the third year of his rookie contract, scheduled to earn $540,000 dollars along with a $104,000 dollar roster bonus this season. That is a bargain given his product...

Gronk poured drinks on women

Seriously, since about ten minutes after the Super Bowl ended, has any NFL player had a more eventful offseason than Rob Gronkowski?  The Party Pat reportedly poured drinks on some women at a karaoke bar.

Patriots won’t talk extension with Aaron Hernandez

The Patriots already gave out one record extension to a tight end this offseason, signing Rob Gronkowski to what might have been the first record extension to ever look incredibly team friendly. However, don’t expect them to do the same with their other stud tight end, Aaron Hernandez. According to the Boston Herald, the Patriots will not be talking extension with Aaron Hernandez...

Aaron Hernandez Still Waiting For His Love in New England

A quick story, football fans... Once upon a time not too long ago, there was a great empire in the Nor'east, one that saw success across the land in the last decade or so. They were led by a sly, old fox of a king named Belichick, who sent his troops to battle weekly behind the golden arm of his warrior-prince Brady and found much success, bringing back many glories and trophies...

Morning Huddle - Gronkowski wasting good drinks

Maybe Rob Gronkowski should learn the concept of drinking. Apparently Rob Gronkowski never learned the concept of a "party foul." Apparently the Patriots tight end has taken to pouring drinks on the ladies. There's no shame in doing something stupid at a party (I'm guessing most of us have done something dumb), but drinks are called drinks for a reason. You drink...

Patriots Ink Gronkowski to Richest Tight End Deal in NFL History

Word broke today that the New England Patriots signed Rob Gronkowski to a 6-year contract extension which will make him the highest paid tight end in NFL history. I don't know about you, but I was completely blown away by the news.  The Patriots are notorious for dragging out contract negotiations until the 11th hour, so the fact that they were so proactive to get Gronk inked...

Patriots Record Setting Signing of Gronkowski Signals End is Near for Welker in New England

The New England Patriots watched tight end Rob Gronkowski set yet another record yesterday, although they helped him accomplish his latest feat. The Pats signed Gronkowski to a six year contract worth $54 million, making him the highest paid tight end in NFL history. But with that deal getting done, does that signal the end of the line for their top wide receiver, Wes Welker? Welker...

Bengals TE Jermaine Gresham’s Value Skyrockets Following Rob Gronkowski Deal

Jermaine Gresham is seeing dollar signs after the contract signed by Rob Gronkowski. On Friday, the NFL world learned that New England Patriots tight end, Rob Gronkowski, signed a mega-extension with the club. The Patriots were extremely generous with Gronkowski, as they inked him to a six-year $54 million extension, making him the highest-paid tight end in NFL history. Though he’s...

Zoltan Mesko is an incredible punter, but did you know he can also carry a tune? The Patriots punter hosted his annual ZoliOke event over the weekend at Royale Boston to benefit the Children's Hospital. Fellow Patriots Rob Gronkowski, Stephen Gostkowski and Nate Solder were among those on stage, belting out karaoke tunes for a great cause.'s Kristen Lebish was there...

Rob Gronkowski's Contract, Chad Ochocinco's Cut Show Bill Belichick Values Talent, Loyalty in Right Balance

Bill Belichick certainly does things his own way, but even the wily New England head coach has to work within the rules set up by the NFL. His draft choices, long-term contract moves and player maneuvering happen inside the same box as the other 31 NFL teams. Still, Belichick has found a way to separate himself from other personnel decision-makers, and this week he showed again how...

Writing is on the wall for Wes Welker

There’s an old 80’s song by the rock group Abba, “I know there is something going on”  and Wes Welker must have the same feeling. As contract negotiations have come to a grinding halt, Welker witnessed Rob Gronkowski land a 6-Year, $54 million deal. Bill Belichick knows how to make a slap in the face seem more like a punch. Welker turned down a 2-Year, $16 million deal...

New England Patriots add yet another tight end

The New England Patriots, already deeper than any team in the NFL at the tight end position with Rob Gronkowski and Aaron Hernandez, had added yet another tight end. Veteran Bo Scaife. Scaife, 31, has played six seasons for the Tennessee Titans, with his best season coming in 2008 when he recorded 561 receiving yards. Scaife was on the Cincinnati Bengals roster last season, but failed...

John McEnroe Wants Everyone's Hands Off His Twinkies as He Shouts Out Rob Gronkowski (Caption Contest)

John McEnroe has left most of his ranting and racquet-throwing days behind, but there's still a good deal of fight in the American tennis legend. He let loose in an exhibition match at the French Open this week, where some people thought he was doing everything from juvenile pranks to backing up the Patriots' recent signing of Rob Gronkowski. Here are the winners for Saturday...
