When news broke that St. Louis Rams offensive coordinator Brian Schottenheimer was being pursued by Shad Khan and the Jacksonville Jaguars to possibly fill the vacant head coach position in Florida, Rams fans had to feel deja vu. The obvious reaction to the thought of Schottenheimer leaving would be to have concern for quarterback Sam Bradford. During his career, Bradford has had three different quarterbacks in three different seasons in St. Louis. As Bernie Miklasz of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch wrote on Sunday, a Schottenheimer departure would be devastating for Bradford's further development. While Miklasz's analysis regarding how a Schottenheimer-to-Jacksonville scenario would play out for Bradford is spot-on, there are also other serious implications that could transpire if the Rams have to find a new offensive coordinator for the fourth consecutive year.
