The sad saga of Titus Young has taken another turn for the worst as Young will soon be arrested for missing a court appearance related to a prior arrest.
ST. LOUIS -- Unlike many NFL coaches, Rams coach Jeff Fisher is not one who typically rests his first-teamers in the preseason finale. Sam Bradford, for example, played long enough to throw for three touchdowns in the final exhibition a year ago.
Fisher, however, might be changing his way of thinking for the Rams' preseason finale Thursday night against the Super Bowl champion...
According to Michael David Smith of Profootballtalk.com, St. Louis coach Jeff Fisher said that what Rams fans saw in the preseason with Tavon Austin is just the tip of the iceberg.
ST. LOUIS -- Rams coach Jeff Fisher does not want the team's running backs to be judged solely on the preseason stats.
However, it doesn't mean he's not concerned about their production.
"That's an area where we need to improve on, but we haven't had opportunities in the games to really just line up," Fisher said after Monday's practice.

Noticed something some what strange during the St. Louis Rams opening preseason game. Second year Chris Givens standing on the sidelines with his pads off and helmet put away because his night was over. He ran with the first team offense and now he was done for the evening. Running off the field to catch a breather and kneeling down was another second year receiver...
The St.Louis Rams are counting on their new dynamic playmaker Tavon Austin to add some spark to their offense.
Their immediate plan according to coach Jeff Fisher is that they won’t unveil their deployment for Austin until the regular season.
Fisher was on the Jim Rome Show and made it clear that Austin will be a force when it counts for real.

ST. LOUIS, Mo. -- Forget that the Rams lost 27-26 at Denver on Saturday night and remain winless in the preseason. First, the preseason doesn't matter.
More important, the Rams had plenty to like about what took place against the Broncos.
Start with right tackle Rodger Saffold. In his return from a dislocated left shoulder, he was able to play the entire first half when the Rams...
Jeff Fisher has a plan for the Rams, and it revolves around raw young players with unique athletic gifts. If you give these athletes lots of playing time, you hopefully accelerate their ability to reach their potential.
Three weeks into the preseason, we're seeing it happen with rookies Tavon Austin, Alec Ogletree, TJ McDonald, and a host of others. Just a week ago, we...
Tavon Austin was the crown jewel of the Rams 2013 NFL Draft class. But thus far what he's done in the preseason has been a pretty big disappointment. That however is actually planned by the Rams.
Jeff Fisher joined Jim Rome on CBS Sports Network's ROME Monday night and said that the team hasn't "shown" what they plan to do with Austin yet primarily because...
If you let Jeff Fisher tell it, the St. Louis Rams have big plans for rookie wide receiver Tavon Austin.
What Fisher won’t do, is tell you what exactly the Rams have in store for Austin. While talking to Jim Rome, Fisher stated that the “Rams haven’t shown what they really plan to do.”
We have a pretty good idea [how we'll use him] but we haven’t shown it,” Fisher...

DENVER -- If the Miami Dolphins had gotten into a bidding war to bring back Jake Long, could they have won it?
While it is generally believed the Dolphins weren't willing to pay the left tackle as a free agent an amount similar to the four-year, 36 million deal he got last March from St. Louis, Long said the Dolphins had little chance of signing him after his first...
