Sportress of Blogitude:
Earlier in training camp, a story surfaced regarding a strange superstition practiced by Washington Redskins rookie running back Chris Thompson that involves how he keeps Starburst in his socks during games. Of course, once it got back to the Starburst folks, they saw an opportunity to perpetuate the publicity already generated by Thompson’s off habit […]The post Starburst thanks Redskins’ Chris Thompson for all the publicity with swag (pic) appeared first on Sportress of Blogitude.

Washington Redskins 2012: 10-6,first in NFC East Lost in 1st round of playoffs After a 10-6 season that led them to their first NFC East title since 1999, the world that surrounded the Washington Redskins came crashing down during their playoff loss to the Seattle Seahawks when the future of their franchise, then-rookie phenom quarterback Robert Griffin III, went down with a devastating...
A reader of the Washington Post’s DC Sports Bog shared this two-faced eyesore of shirt featuring quarterback Robert Griffin III and the infamous and stereotypical Native American man who graces the team’s logo.
Redskins back up quarterback Kirk Cousins left tonight’s preseason game against the Steelers with a mid-foot sprain.
Kirk Cousins' x-ray came back negative. It's a mid-foot sprain, per source.

There could be a chance we don’t see Cousins back this preseason.

ESPN’s series “My WIsh” grants eight-year-old Lateef Brock’s wish to meet Robert Griffin III.
Must admit, Seahawks looking like more of a threat to New England in the AFC than Denver is right now.
— Skip Bayless (@RealSkipBayless) August 18, 2013
What is there really to say about this? A guy who is getting paid six figures a year by ESPN to debate sports isn’t even aware of what conference the Seattle Seahawks are in. Then Bayless has the gall to arrogantly spew...
I get why Dan Snyder does not want to change the name of the Washington Redskins. Personally, I think it is ridiculous that so many politicians have decided to speak out against the team and the name. But than again--it is a perfect way to appear sympathetic to minority issues without having to do anything of substance so why not?
That doesn't mean he has to create t-shirts...
Washington Redskins quarterback Robert Griffin III is expected to be ready for the start of the regular season, but you have to wonder if his game will change at all. We all know it is the dual-threat of passing and running that makes RG3 so dangerous for opposing defenses. However, it is important to remember […]
The biggest news today in Washington D.C., is what happened on the field. Today RG3 moved a step closer toward a Week 1 return when he took full-speed, full-team snaps against the first-string defense for the first time since his knee surgery. ‘My eyes are set on Philly,” he said. – Robert Griffin III Griffin […]
The Washington Redskins have faced an increasing amount of scrutiny over the past few years over the name of their franchise. Several members of Congress recently wrote the team a letter asking that the name Redskins be dropped in favor of something less offensive. However, it doesn’t appear that the Snyder family and the NFL […]
Redskins quarterback Robert Griffin III was able help make eight year-old Tareef Brock’s dream come true in this episode of ESPN’s My Wish.
I dare you to watch this without crying.

No chance he lasts all year T…We all know about RG3 in our Nation’s Capital. But let’s not forget that he is coming off an injury and many people believe he will have a hard time staying healthy. Well, the Redskins have a very solid backup QB. Kirk Cousins starred at Michigan State before he was drafted by the Redskins, and he’s now considered by many to be the best backup...
My 2013 fantasy football breakout star coming out of the NFC East is Redskins' tight end Fred Davis. Other nominees considered were Giants' receiver Reuben Randle and tight end Brandon Myers.
Out of all the training camps, few have carried more intrigue than the Redskins. Call it a rift, a spat, a dad looking out for his franchise son, but Mike Shanahan's handling (coddling...
The NFL season is almost underway, and that of course has kicked off preseason speculation of all kinds. Will Peyton Manning’s new receiving corps be unstoppable? Will Percy Harvin push the Seahawks over the edge? Will Colin Kaepernick be able to provide an encore for his stellar 2013 debut? These are just a few of the questions being asked everywhere from Yahoo! Sports to your...
