Alby Oxenreiter tweeted today that the Steelers may have interest in former Raiders Head Coach Hue Jackson.  This would now be the fifth rumored person that could be headed towards the Steelers.  So far they have been rumored to Jim Caldwell who took the Ravens QB Coach Position, Todd Haley, Alex Van Pelt and Randy Fichtner.  The Steelers are doing their due diligence in hiring this offensive coordinator.  One big worry of mine was this job was just going to be given to Fichtner.  For the Steelers to be looking at this many guys and not just guys but big name guys is a step in the right direction.  If the Steelers were to choose Fichtner after taking a look at all of these good options it would make me feel that we made a good choice with him.  Jackson was fired this off season by the Raiders.  He had his team on a good run before Darren McFadden and Jason Campbell were injured.  The Raiders were playing Raider football and looked to be headed towards the playoffs.  Jackson has a great offensive mind and is stellar when it comes to developing receivers.  The players he coaches seem to love to play for him and they improve each year.  With this young receiving core he could do big things.

Not unlike Haley he has a bit of a temper.  One thing that Mike Tomlin may be wary of is that Jackson loves to talk to the media which is something Tomlin does not do.  He gives his round about answers and moves on.  Jackson would be a good hire for this offense.

Jackson also has a bit of a swagger about him.  Something that seems to go over well with this group of guys in the Steelers locker room.  That is one word they love to throw out.  Who has that Swag?  Jackson would fit in well.
