Following the 21-18 loss to the Oakland Raiders, Pittsburgh Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin met the media and went over the injuries suffered in the game. "Ramon Foster sustained a concussion there early on and was unable to return," started Tomlin. "Guy Whimper had a left knee injury that needs to be and will be evaluated. David DeCastro has a right ankle injury that needs to be and will be evaluated. Other than that, I am sure there are bumps and bruises associated with playing." Foster left the game early in the first half with a concussion and was replaced by Whimper, who left early in the second half with his left knee injury. After DeCastro left the game a short time later, left tackle Kelvin Beachum took over at left guard and Cody Wallace, who had initially replaced Whimper at left guard, flipped over to DeCastro's right guard position. Mike Adams then took over at left tackle for Beachum. Tomlin stated later in his press conference that he is sure that both Whimper and DeCastro will need MRI's done to determine the extent of their injuries. The steelers offensive line is now in complete shambles once again. They do have Chris Hubbard and Joe Long on their practice squad and one or both might need to be promoted to the 53 man roster next week depending on the seriousness of the injuries suffered by DeCastro and Whimper.
