Found September 17, 2013 on Jocks and Stiletto Jill:
I had the opportunity to check out the kick off of the NFL season with Pepsi in their suite at Met Life Stadium to watch the New York Jets face off against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. The start to the 2013 season is also the kick off of Pepsi’s “Are you Fan Enough” campaign. Thinking about the question, “Are you fan enough” made me think about what I consider some of the traits are of a die hard fan. My next thought, who are some fans that might get overlooked, the ultimate under appreciated fan in my book, “The Cheerleader.” Think about it, these ladies hit the practice field weekly, are at the stadium bright and early on game day AND they wear those skimpy little outfits, even on brisk days! That is what I call dedication! I caught a glimpse of how hard the Jets “Flight Crew” works when they hit the field early Sunday morning to rehearse before the game.   The Pepsi suite was pretty much EVERYTHING! Loaded with Pepsi, great food, plush couches and TV’s to watch the Jets action up c...

New York Jets Should Trade Kyle Wilson

In 2010, the New York Jets selected cornerback Kyle Wilson in the first round of the NFL Draft. The hope was that Wilson would further fortify a stacked group of corners alongside Darrelle Revis and Antonio Cromartie, along with provide some electricity in the return game. Unfortunately, Wilson is currently in his 4th season and the light hasn’t went on yet. He has provided nothing...

Jets cut P Malone, sign Quigley

The New York Jets have waived punter Robert Malone and replaced him with Ryan Quigley, who was in training camp with the team. Malone, in his second season with the Jets, set the franchise record last year with a 45.8 gross average, and had the second-best net average in team history at 38.5. He beat out Quigley in camp, and had an 84-yard punt in the season opener against Tampa...

TOJ – New York Jets Running Back Grade Sheet (Week 2)

Grading Scale I grade each play on a 1 to 5 scale. Loss of yardage is rated a 0, no gain is rated a 1, a gain of 1-3 yards is rated a 2, gains of 4-6 are rated a 3, gains of 7-9 yards or are rated a 4, and gains of 10+ yards are rated a 5. TDs increase your overall grade by 10 points, and fumbles decrease your score by -5. I do it like this to factor in receptions, reward positive...

Aqib Talib Says Nick Mangold ‘Dove a Little Early,’ But Doesn’t Think Hit Was Dirty

Like pretty much every other Jets-Patriots game in the Bill Belichick era, the Week 2 matchup at Gillette Stadium featured some fireworks. Toward the end of the Pats’ win, cornerback Aqib Talib – who had just intercepted a Geno Smith pass – was hit near the sideline by Jets center Nick Mangold.
