The good teams finish. Tony Dungy had a great record in December. Jon Gruden, did not.  Tony Dungy's teams kept it close till the 4th quarter, then finished. Today's Bucs, do not. Thats because the Bucs do not have a coach that is capable of finishing games, and thus, his team, our team, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, do not know how to finish games. You only have to look at the numbers, they do not lie. 0-7 in games decided by 3 points or less.  3 touchdowns in second half in half of the season. Yesterday, the Bucs lost more than the game in the second half. They lost their nerve, they lost their edge, and good teams GAIN that in the 4th quarter of games. Seattle did, they understand what it takes to be a good team. That is on coaching, not the players. Several times this season the Bucs have lost because their players simply werent as good as the players lining up on the other side. Sometimes they have lost because the schemes of the Bucs were not as...

NFL Rumors: Buccaneers head coach Greg Schiano lowers price on his house for sale

Second-year Tampa Bay Buccaneers head coach Greg Schiano might be on one of the hottest seats in the NFL as the league heads into it’s second half. The Buccaneers shocked the NFL world on Sunday as they jumped out to a 21-0 lead in Seattle over the Seahawks. Despite holding a 24-3 lead at the start of the third quarter, Tampa came away with another loss, 27-24 in overtime. This...

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers: 2014 Contenders?

The Tampa Buccaneers are a team in distress; they have just completed the first half of the 2013 season and have yet to win a game. Going back to last season they have lost 13 out of their last 14 games with their lone win against an Atlanta team who was resting their starters in Week 17 as they prepared for the playoffs. The team has had about everything imaginable go wrong for...

Bucs RB Doug Martin Looking To Return For Monday Night Football?

Despite a torn Labrum and an impending shoulder surgery for Tampa Bay Buccaneers running back Doug Martin, there is a chance he may suit up and play next week against the Miami Dolphins. It might not be the best idea for “The Muscle Hamster’s” long term health. As an 0-8 team, the Bucs may not be shamed if  Martin gets back as fast as possible but the potential for career...

Goldson misses 2nd straight game for Tampa Bay

Free safety Dashon Goldson is sitting out his second straight game for Tampa Bay with a knee injury. Goldson had hoped to return Sunday against the Seattle Seahawks in the city where he was a college star at Washington, but his knee wasn't healthy enough. While Goldson was out, the Buccaneers did have strong safety Mark Barron ready to start. Barron had been questionable with...

WATCH: Mike James throws Tebow-style jump pass for TD

Tampa Bay Buccaneers RB Mike James channeled his inner Tim Tebow and threw a jump pass for a touchdown against the Seattle Seahawks.

Darrelle Revis: Having more money, but fewer wins, with Buccaneers is better than winning with Jets

Players love to say “It’s not about the money.” Darrelle Revis is not one of those players. The ex-Jets cornerback — who was traded to the Buccaneers in the offseason and promptly signed an extension that will pay him $16 million this season and $98 million over the length of the six-year deal — said early Monday morning that losing, but having more money, in Tampa Bay...

Buccaneers safety Goldson out against Seahawks

Safety Dashon Goldson did not travel with the team to Seattle, according to editor Scott Smith. Goldson suffered a knee injury against the Atlanta Falcons and was forced to miss last week's game due to this injury as well. This means the Tampa Bay Buccaneers will be without their star safety and will likely be forced to play Mark Barron away from the box again...

Bucs Running Back Mike James Throws Jump TD Pass Vs Seahawks

As I write this, the 0-7 Buccaneers lead the Seahawks in Seattle by the score of 24-7 in the third quarter, because... well, hell, I have no idea. Because the NFL is bonkers? Well, one of the Bucs' three touchdowns came on a Tim Tebow-esque jump pass from their running back, Mike James, to tight end Tom Crabtree. Yes, a jump pass, from their running back, for a touchdown....

Mike James Runs Wild vs. Seahawks

Buccaneers rookie running back Mike James had 158 rushing yards on 28 carries and also threw a two-yard touchdown pass Sunday at Seattle.Fantasy Spin:James only saw 10 carries in his first NFL start in Week 8 as Carolina controlled the clock, but he was heavily featured in Week 9. If Doug Martin (shoulder) is out again in Week 10 against Miami, fantasy owners can start James as RB2...

The Buccaneers Blew A 21-Point Lead

A thorough dismantling of Greg Schiano’s Buccaneers would have been satisfying to watch, but it’s not like we haven’t seen that before. No, a novel downfall for this year’s Bucs team is to play well enough to build a prohibitive early lead, only to watch it dissolve into a devastating loss over the course of the second half and overtime. That’s right. This could have been...

Bucs execute jump pass TD from running back to tight end

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers have come out of the gate hot against the Seattle Seahawks on Sunday afternoon, and they’re tapping into their bag of tricks in the process. Bucs running back Mike James completed a successful jump pass to tight end Tom Crabtree for a touchdown in the first quarter to put Tampa up by two scores. You don’t see that every day. [The Big Lead] The post Bucs...

Dashon Goldson To Miss Week 9

Bucs free safety Dashon Goldson (knee) won't be available Sunday against Seattle. SOURCE: Scott Smith, Buccaneers.comFantasy Spin:He missed last week's game as well. If all goes as planned, we could see Goldson back as soon as Week 10 against the Dolphins.

Week 9 (11/13): Buccaneers at Seahawks

The 2013 Buccaneers  have almost nothing going their way this year in all three phases of the game and are near the bottom of the league in almost every meaningful statistical category.  And today they go up against the Seahawks in Seattle -- the odds of them pullling out a win today are nonexistent. And unfortunately for them, it gets worse.  Jacksonville may be bad this...

Grudenisms: Chicago Bears at Green Bay Packers

Jon Gruden finally got a decent game to announce on ESPN's Monday Night Football, as the Packers hosted the Bears. Here are his Grudenisms.

Report: USC Interviews Lovie Smith & are Interested in Jon Gruden

Details are sketchy and Smith’s people deny it, but here is what being reported by CBS Sports courtesy of Pro Football Talk. Smith has interviewed with USC for its head coaching position, according to Jason La Canfora of CBS. According to La Canfora, USC is also very interested in former Raiders and Buccaneers head coach Jon Gruden, but that interest is apparently not reciprocated...
