Found November 01, 2013 on Third And Wrong:
It seems like there is one team in constant chaos every NFL season.  Last year you had the New York Jets and their whole “Tebowmania” fiasco and the world famous Mark Sanchez “Butt Fumble“.  This year, though, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers have been such a tremendous disaster that the 2012 New York Jets seem like the 1972 Miami Dolphins by comparison.  You know things aren’t great for your franchise when you have multiple outbreaks of MRSA at different points throughout the year, but it gets far worse than that for the Bucs. Now I know what you’re thinking, “But what could possibly be worse than MRSA?”  Greg Schiano.  Greg Schiano is worse than MRSA. From Wikipedia: Signs and symptoms S. aureus most commonly colonizes the anterior nares (the nostrils). The rest of the respiratory tract, open wounds, intravenouscatheters, and the urinary tract are also potential sites for infection. Healthy individuals may carry MRSA asymptomatically for periods ranging from a few weeks to many years.

Gerald McCoy says coaches were upset with him for helping up an opponent

Gerald McCoy is not the type of person that you would want to meet in the trenches. At 6’4″ and 300 pounds McCoy, a former pro bowler, is an imposing presence. However for being such a large strong man he has streaks of kindness that his coaches aren’t necessarily happy about. “I had my D-line coaches get on to me the other day. Well, not get on to me, try to get on to me...

Bucs’ Darrelle Revis says knee kept him out of man coverage

With everyone throwing Tampa Bay Buccaneers head coach Greg Schiano under the bus for the team’s shortcomings this season, it was only natural to assume the coach was using star cornerback Darrelle Revis incorrectly out of sheer incompetence. Jets remain in playoff picture despite shortcomings

Prior to the start of the regular season, there weren’t too many football fans in New York who would’ve believed you if you said that after eight weeks of play, the Jets would be at 4-4 and in second place, while the Giants would be dead last in the NFC East with a 2-6 record after going winless in their first six games. Heading into Week Nine, that’s exactly the case, and...
