Cleveland-browns-buffalo
The Cleveland Browns went out and signed David Nelson to a one year contract. Nelson showed a lot of talent in the 2011 season for the Buffalo Bills. He tore his anterior cruciate ligament in last season’s opener with the Bills and missed the rest of the season. Nelson who is, 6-foot-5, 214 Lbs., had a good 2011 season with the Bills. He caught 94 passes, for 1,042 yards and eight touchdowns. He brings in size to the Browns receiving group and his has good hands. The Browns  have to wonder if he can still make all the moves he did before the knee injury. Nelson was a UN-drafted free agent for the Bills in 2010. He had one good year with Buffalo before his injury and he was second on the team in receptions in 2011. If he can come back and play the way he did in 2011, he will be a solid addition to the Cleveland Browns.
1 Comment:
  • Yes, if we got him cheap and the one year makes sense too. We will know if he can return to his old form by then. So, good pick up.

Do or die time for Brandon Weeden in Cleveland?

Cleveland Browns quarterback Brandon Weeden has the unfortunate situation in front of him of going into this year with a new owner and general manager, who are looking for a successful season to kick start their beginning in Cleveland. Their patience assumingly would be thin regarding Weeden, who needs to show them he's got the right stuff to further his employment with the...

Browns Senior Editor Vic Carucci says, “It’s quarterbacks who make receivers.” Has he ever seen the Browns play?

Each week, Vic Carucci, does a column on the Cleveland Browns, for the official site of the Cleveland Browns. I found it humorous this week when I read what he wrote about. Carucci is claiming, it is the quarterback that makes the receiver. To some degree, I agree with that.  I can recall some great NFL receivers, that helped make their quarterbacks too. Guys like the great Lynn...

David Nelson Joins Cleveland Browns On One-Year Deal

As the highest-paid player on the Browns, is Joe Thomas’ value diminishing?

Joe Thomas is the poster boy. Sure, he is the stalwart left tackle who has yet to miss a game since being drafted by the Cleveland Browns in 2007. He has has been named to the NFL’s All-Pro team five times and has made six trips to the Pro Bowl. Thomas is workmanlike—many recall the fishing trip he opted to take instead of the glitz and glamor of New York on draft day. He says...
