Found August 14, 2012 on Philly Sports World:
The 2012-13 Eagles season has begun like nearly every other season, with an uninspiring pre-season game. The aftermath of Thursday’s game I am finding to be quite amusing. (That would be the callers to talk radio already predicting DOOM). Not that the Eagles first-string performance was amusing offensively or defensively but what were you expecting? Offensively, the 6 plays that Vick ran before leaving the game STUNK! On defensive, the Eagles couldn’t stop a third down which is a concern but again, it is only the first pre-season game. SO LET US CALM DOWN! The season is not lost and we won’t be in the Super Bowl if the Eagles pound New England in the next pre-season game. Andy Reid’s plan for the New England game is to have the starters in for two quarters which makes the game a bit more interesting to watch but not any more important. Having the players on both sides of the ball work on what they learned in camp along with evaluating talent is why these games are played. Now, if we are having the same conversation after week one of the season??? That’s when I will get worried but I will still reserve my DOOM and GLOOM.Similar Posts:

Curious Timing For Andy Reid’s Agent to be Talking Contract

Andy Reid Doesn’t Deserve An Extension…Yet

Andy Reid has had a rough week. After the tragedy of losing his eldest son, he came right back to work coaching the Eagles. Then he suffered through a lackluster performance by the Eagles first team in their first preseason game. As if that wasn’t enough, a controversy erupted when his agent came to town declaring Andy Reid the Eagles coach for life. While the comments didn...

Philadelphia Eagles: Key Players To Watch vs. Patriots

The Philadelphia Eagles started off their 2012 campaign with a win against the Pittsburgh Steelers. Not the prettiest performance ever, but a win nonetheless. It was a game that was vital for both the team and head coach Andy Reid, who had buried his son only one day earlier. Reid was ecstatic at the end, after Alex Henery booted a 51-yarder that essentially ended the game. Coach...

Lauren Tannehill & Jackie Long (Jake’s Wife) On Hard Knocks

Week Two recap of Hard Knocks: Joe Philbin is dealing with issue after issue. First, it was the death of Andy Reid’s son and then it was Chad Johnson allegedly head-butting his wife. For us, the real drama was whether Lauren Tannehill would finally be in a bikini on South Beach. No dice. However, there was a moneyshot of Lauren and Jake Long’s wife, Jackie, at the Dolphins first...
