The Green Bay Packers have always been a team where players give 110%. Signing Seneca Wallace to become Aaron Rodgers back up was a big mistake. The Packers will soon learn that Wallace is one selfish S.O.B. He could care less about his teammates or helping anyone on the football team to become more productive. The thing that Wallace does best is stand on the sidelines holding a clipboard and collecting his check. The guy makes no effort to learn how to help his team win. If he is called upon to take the place of Rodgers, don’t expect to win many football games. Sure he can throw the football, but he doesn’t extend himself enough to win games. The Packers would have been better off signing Tim Tebow to back up Rodgers, at least Tebow would make an effort to learn the offense and he give far more of himself than a guy like Wallace. When Seneca Wallace was in Cleveland he was beat out by Colt McCoy as the team’s starting QB. Wallace refuse to help McCoy learn anything about the NFL offense. Even though both men were on the same team, Wallace said he was there to coach anyone. The team could have used any help they could have gotten, and Wallace was an NFL veteran QB that may have been able to offer some advice but refused to do so. He is a self serving self centered selfish person. The only thing Seneca Wallace cares about is Seneca Wallace. The Packers will find out soon enough what a mistake signing him was. Lets hope Rodgers can stay healthy through the 2013 season. If they have to call on Wallace they are in big trouble.

  • It seems to me that Packers have signed quite a few very late and do not see how they can train them - hopefully they can at least count so there are not too many on field. I had that fleeting moment of Tebow joining them also.
  • Tim Tebow would be an asset to any team. For what little it would cost to bring him into Green Bay , it would be an absolute shame not to give him a chance.
I get sick of all the negative Tebow talk.Tim is a football player. A man of character & integrity. He has proven that he can win. He affects his team mates in a very positive way. Known to always give 110%.
I believe he would make an excellent backup QB in Green Bay.
I am not reading much of anything good about Seneca Wallace.
Come on Packers, you took a chance with that crazy Brett Farve and he turn put OK!
If all Tebow did was backup Rodgers, this diehard Packer fan would be excited about how this man could affect this team. As mentioned by one sports writer, with Lacey, Starks, & Tebow with their running ability, combined with Tebow's arm, this has the making of a scary simplistic offense, that defenses would have problems stopping until Rodgers is ready to return. Playoffs? Don't believe Wallace can win enough games get the Packers to the playoffs. I believe Tebow could do it if given the chance.

Rodgers Not Out for Revenge Against 49ers

Aaron Rodgers isn't out for revenge in Green Bay's season opener. Sure, the 49ers bounced the Packers from the NFC playoffs with a 45-31 win in January, but the former MVP quarterback — who grew up a Niners fan in Northern California — says he and his teammates are simply focused on the task at hand.

Five things: Focus on the offenses

MVP: QB Aaron Rodgers (Green Bay) Rodgers was my highest ranked quarterback in my top-200 and in my fantasy projections and the top quarterback usually wins this award as long as his team makes the playoffs. In his last 45 games, including the playoffs, Rodgers has thrown for 114 touchdowns, 20 interceptions, and 12738 yards. Over 16 games, that’s 41 touchdowns, 7 interceptions...
