Chicago Bears Football- The draft has ended. The Chicago Bears have made their picks and they may be called enlightened. With picks on both sides of the ball general manager Phil Emery filled several big holes on the defense and even planned ahead on the offense. Chicago Draft Picks pt. 1 Ka’Deem Carey In the fourth round the Chicago Bears selected running back Ka’Deem Carey out of Arizona. There had been a lot of discussion about finding someone to replace Micheal Bush who was released earlier this year. Carey had a very impressive college career although he also has had some off the field behavioral issues as well. In his Arizona years he amassed 4,239 rushing yards, with each of his final 16 games having over 100 yards. With 48 rushing touchdowns, he made a huge impact in the PAC-12 Conference. Although he has run into some legal trouble, he claims that that life is behind him and he is ready to move on. Brock Vereen After all of the complaints that a safety was not taken in the first round, the Bears finally picked one up after trading down to get Brock Vereen. With 127 solo tackles, three interceptions and two forced fumbles, Brock Vereen has numbers to back up his fourth round status. Although at 6 ft. and 199 lbs. he may be a little small for a safety he has the skill set to take him further. “With some of those bigger guys, the more film study you can do on them to get any advantage to use as far as their timing and how they like to use their body, you can play big with them.” - Brock Vereen This may also be why the Chicago Bears have already signed a four year deal with the new safety. David Fales In the sixth round the Chicago Bears selected a quarterback by the name of David Fales out of San Jose State. With over 8,000 passing yards, 66 touchdowns and a passer rating of 161.7 it may turn out to be one of the steals of the draft. There should be no doubt by now that Jay Cutler will be the starting quarterback for the next few seasons; however, this may be a great opportunity for Marc Trestman to build the player which he wants for the future of the Chicago Bears. _________________________ Photo(s): cfn.scout.com; CBS 8 total views, 8 views today The post The New Chicago Bears Draft Picks Will Shine (Part 2) appeared first on Sports Mockery.
