Found August 24, 2013 on Football Extra Points:
The Patriots' troubles this offseason are well documented.  They may be breaking in an entirely new set of skill position players, but Tom Brady is still at the helm.  His value is down some, but don't count him out completely. Drew Brees - Consistently at the top of the QB rankings.  Look for an explosion with the return of Payton calling plays. Aaron Rodgers - Elite QB, but questions on the Oline keep him out of the top spot. Cam Newton - Quietly top 4 in QB points the last two season.  Don't sleep on rushing yards and rushing TD out of the QB position. Peyton Manning - He's stronger and more comfortable with his weapons.  Oh ya, and Welker is in town.  Super Bowl? Tom Brady - He's slipped some, but don't count him out. Keep an eye on Carson Palmer in Arizona.  It's a pass friendly offense with a superstar WR and serviceable running game. Good Luck! By Scott King @FootballXPs

Watch: Tom Brady’s Motivational Speech to the University of Michigan Football Team

In this video NFL legend  Tom Brady stops by home alma mater to talk with the Michigan football team about how much he loves Michigan and his experience while at the Big House. Tom Brady is a man of few words, probably learned that from Belichick, but this speech is pretty inspiring. Hat tip: Brobible

New England Patriots: Preseason Week 3 Notes

So…..yeah. The Patriots lost their third preseason game to the Detroit Lions. Badly. Like, 40-9 bad. To the Detroit Lions. It was ugly. But what does it mean? Does it mean anything at all? Here are some quick notes on last night’s game.   -O(ffense)-No.  The big story coming into this season was how the offense would transition, namely would Tom Brady be able to drag a group...

michiganathletics: Throwback Thursday: In honor of Tom Brady’s visit, we take a look back at each of his 4 TD passes in the 2000 Orange Bowl against Alabama. Not a bad way to close out his Michigan career.

Tom Brady Says Patriots Aren’t ‘Anywhere Where We Need to Be,’ After Lions Serve Them ‘Humbling’ Loss

The Patriots were served a big piece of humble pie in Detroit for a second time in three years on Thursday night. Fortunately, both experiences came in the preseason. Tom Brady and the Patriots’ managed just two scoring drives against the Detroit Lions in their third game of the preseason, turning the ball over four times in the process. Brady wasn’t as razor sharp as he had...

Tom Brady Visits Michigan Football Team, Gives Amazing Speech

The Michigan Football program has had some impressive visitors this year, but none of them gave a speech quite like Tom Brady gave them on Thursday morning.  Brady was in town to play the Detroit Lions in a preseason game and stopped by campus in Ann Arbor.  Something tells me that Brady has a future in coaching, perhaps when he retires he’ll come be the quarterbacks coach at...

Tom Brady Says He Didn’t Think He’d Be Cut as Rookie, Admits He ‘Wasn’t Prepared to Play’ in First Year

It’s cut week in the NFL, which means plenty of concern and anxiety for many players around the league. Tom Brady isn’t one of those guys, though he admits maybe he should have been as a rookie. Everybody knows the story by now. Brady drops down every teams draft board. The Patriots finally take him with pick No. 199. Drew Bledsoe gets hurt in Week 2 of the 2001 season. Brady...

Lions player gets in Tom Brady’s face (GIF)

Lions defensive end Willie Young must have forgotten that Thursday night’s game didn’t count, since it’s only a preseason game. Young ended up getting in the face of Patriots quarterback Tom Brady during the Lions’ convincing win over New England.  Once again who cares if the Lions played better, the game didn’t count.   h/t Next Impulse Sports   Need NFL Tickets? ...

Lions DE Young talks about Brady taunting penalty

Detroit defensive end Willie Young says he'll avoid penalties that hurt his team after taunting New England quarterback Tom Brady. Young's taunt resulted in a 15-yard penalty in the Lions' 40-9 win against the Patriots in a preseason game on Thursday night. After hurrying Brady into an incompletion in the New England end zone, Young grabbed Brady by the collar and said...

Willie Young feels the need to taunt Tom Brady after incomplete pass, gets penalized

I’m all about being a fierce competitor, but maybe someone should tell Lions defensive lineman Willie Young to tone it down a little. Grabbing a Hall of Fame quarterback by his jersey and pointing him in the face after a meaningless incomplete pass in a meaningless preseason game isn’t exactly a great look. That’s exactly what Young did towards the end of the second quarter...

Video: Tom Brady gives intense speech to Michigan players

Wow, this really gives you a look at the fiery leader we never really get to see. Tom Brady's got me fired up! One thing's for sure, if ever goes into coaching, he can definitely deliver an Al Pacino type speech! With the team in Detroit for tonight's game, Brady was invited down to visit his alma mater before heading to Ford Field.

Patriots big loss to Lions could be cause for concern

The Patriots struggled in a big way last night against the Detroit Lions. Tom Brady wasn’t bad, but an interception prevented his stats line from looking good by any stretch and the lack of a touchdown pass is very uncharacteristic. The Patriots offense was without Danny Amendola, and that was bound to hurt the team’s productivity. Amendola has taken the role of Tom Brady...

Take a deep breath the Pats are fine

The New England Patriots loss on Thursday night was as ugly as it gets. After a 40-9 loss where the Pats looked like the "little Giants" sans Ice Box and could have used Rashid "hot hands" Hanon's stick'em, the offense dropped the "TP" roll three times as the Lions poured it on in the 2nd half. Tom Brady even looked human for the first time...

Kenbrell Thompkins emerging as fantasy wide receiver sleeper

Kenbrell Thompkins is looking like he will be a legitimate factor in fantasy football this season despite an undrafted free agent out of Cincinnati. Thompkins drew praise early in New England Patriots camp for displaying good hands and connecting well with quarterback Tom Brady. Though he had to wade through a lot of competition, Thompkins […]
